I adore Roger & Gallet. This Shiso suits the scent well, but it fades in just 20 minutes and that’s it. It smells like those baby bath waters, but without the soapy sting, with more class. Ideal for relaxing at home, sleeping, yoga, or just for yourself. I detect a hint of mint at first, but it vanishes quickly, leaving a general herbal aroma. It’s not my favourite; I gifted it to my aunt who loves light herbal scents for work and she adores it. It’s unisex and you can apply generously as it lacks much potency.
I love Roger & Gallet fragrances. The scent of this Shiso is pleasant. The only downside is it doesn’t last more than 20 minutes and disappears. It reminds me a bit of those baby-style bath waters, but without that soapy sting, with more class and quality. For me, it’s a relaxing perfume for being at home, for sleeping, for going to yoga/meditation classes, or for personal enjoyment. I do perceive a slight mint in the top notes, but it quickly disappears as the previous review stated, turning into a general herbal scent. It’s not my favourite from Roger & Gallet; in the end, I gifted it to my aunt who loves this type of super-light herbal scents for work and she’s delighted. It’s completely unisex and you can apply generously as the fragrance isn’t very potent.
I bought it blind because there were no testers available. If Roger & Gallet created a fragrance with their signature but no special aroma, this would be it. It smells cool; the citrus notes aren’t noticeable, and the purple mint doesn’t smell minty, but rather herbal. I thought it was distant, crystalline bamboo, but it’s more like cool, barely perceptible male leaves with a soft freesia like a sigh after an ice-cold drink. It conveys stillness, like many Japanese things. If you’re looking for something cool that isolates, suggests nothing, and balances you, this could be it. It doesn’t produce sensations; it just cools you down. The peony sometimes reminds me of the Rosa perfume from the brand, but extremely watery, a very faint and cool trace.
