Sienne d'Orange by The Different Company is an aromatic citrus fragrance for men and women. Launched in 2012, its creation is signed by Emilie Coppermann. The olfactory pyramid unfolds with top notes of Italian orange and cardamom; a heart composed of carrot and iris; and a base that combines woody notes, leather and musk.

OK, it’s citrusy with orange as the star, very similar to the leaf or skin notes in Hermès fragrances, but it has something extra: very subtle and well-placed notes that make it complex and evolving, like the Eau de Cartier. I didn’t test each note separately, but rather a very blended cocktail. I can’t comment on the longevity as I only kept the blotter, though compared to the Eau de Cartier it seems to last longer. I’d recommend it if you like citrus and all its variations.
Today, purely out of habit, I tried it again but this time on my skin, and I liked it even more than the first time; it’s a caramelised orange, if you understand what I mean.
