With fig, bitter orange, cedar, and that Le Labo musky base, plus a bitter, rough matcha, this fragrance for warm climates or spring is a great homage to Eastern tea culture. It has excellent longevity and strong projection for the first hour and a half, delighting with sweet, green, bitter, and fresh notes that invite quietness and reflection, like in a tea ceremony.
I tried it in summer for the fig, but I only sensed a synthetic woody scent. The fig fades quickly, leaving that typical metallic cedar of the brand, with no matcha. It smells good for two hours and then becomes skin-scent for another two, which feels like a rip-off for this price. I see it as unisex for mild or warm days in informal settings. Pleasant: 7/10, Interesting: 5/10, Versatile: 8/10, Original: 5/10.
On my skin, it leaves only a creamy tea trail, similar to Bulgari but more metallic. The fig is completely absent… a total disappointment.
It’s a gourmand with a fig opening that evolves into a green, creamy dry-down; it stands out for breaking today’s linearity and is ideal for those seeking something distinct and versatile.
You’ll feel all five declared notes throughout its duration; it’s a fragrance with spectacular longevity and appeal. The fig combines with bitter orange, and both rest with the matcha tea throughout the trail; the cedar and vetiver accompany the matcha tea. You have a truly unique creation; nothing else like this perfume exists.
You can feel all five declared notes throughout its life; the longevity and character are spectacular. The fig and bitter orange rest with the matcha tea, while the cedar and vetiver accompany, creating a truly unique piece with no equal.
I really didn’t know it contained fig, but both the opening and the heart are wonderful and fresh. The dry-down leaves a woody trail as other reviews mention, with a creamy touch. It’s a rare but very pleasant scent; I don’t recommend buying blindly because those who dislike woody aromas won’t enjoy it, but I enjoy it every time I wear it.
I was very surprised. The opening is powerful with lots of cedar and vetiver, but what won me over is the dry-down. I tried it at night after a shower and it was still there when I woke up; that’s when I fell for it. It’s magnificent: a soapy fig thanks to the matcha, which is present throughout its entire performance.
I was truly surprised by this fragrance. The opening is potent, and you can note the woody notes (cedar and vetiver), but what won me over was the dry-down. I tried it at night after a bath, and upon waking, the scent was still present; that’s when I was hooked. It’s magnificent, a combination of non-green, soapy fig, thanks to the matcha which is super present throughout the entire performance.
Very feminine. It smells of dried flower petals, like that potpourri in my home. It’s the scent you’d get when arriving at your grandmother’s house while she knits a scarf. It’s not unisex; it’s very feminine. I showed it to men and women; the women loved it, the men didn’t, and I fall into that latter category.
Super feminine perfume, smells like dried flowers, that potpourri scent you find at home. It’s like arriving at your grandmother’s house while she knits you a scarf. It’s not unisex; I tried it on men and women; the women loved it, the men didn’t, and I join them in that opinion.
I know many say they can’t smell the fig, but for me, that’s what I perceive most. It smells of matcha tea, figs, and wood. It’s delicate and makes you feel good and comfortable. In my opinion, it works in both cold and heat, though I prefer it for autumn and winter, and I love it when it’s raining. You can tell it’s Le Labo; all their perfumes have something that makes you identify them instantly. It’s expensive, but it lasts a long time on skin, and on clothes, it can last for days.
I wasn’t very hopeful, but trying it on my skin was a delightful surprise. It’s fresh, herbal, and woody; I don’t usually like vetiver, but here it’s so well blended with cedar, matcha, and fig that it doesn’t bother me. On my skin, the matcha, cedar, and fig dominate with over 10 hours of longevity. It leans masculine, but I don’t dislike it; in fact, many men have complimented it. I like that it’s fresh, different from the usual street smells, and makes people ask what perfume I’m wearing. Very wearable at any time. I have no regrets, and it has become one of my signature scents.
In short, it doesn’t smell of Matcha Tea; it’s fig-based, though it vibrates with its name. I’m not usually a fan of fig notes, but here they are beautifully crafted and balanced. It’s unisex/modern; a man would wear it perfectly. Fresh, woody, with a subtle sweetness. The longevity is excellent, lasting over 8-10 hours on my skin, and I can smell it all day. Perfect for spring and summer.
It opens with an orangey note for a few seconds before the vetiver and fig take over.
I absolutely love it; it makes me feel happy and comforted. It’s warm. Don’t look for matcha tea in the scent, but rather that purity. It’s more of a feeling than something clean; I can’t quite define it, but it’s very pleasant. A subtle woody and citrusy touch, understated and not overbearing.
It doesn’t smell of matcha tea; instead, it pays homage to citrus and freshness. Ideal for mornings due to its revitalising effect.
