I absolutely love the free samples from magazines! That’s how I tried this new D&G. I expected something darker and more mysterious, but it’s super sweet, almost entirely caramel and lychee. Very feminine and innocent, a gourmand with just a few floral/lychee notes. The sillage and longevity are moderate; nothing like Devil or anything special. It reminds me a lot of CH and Shalimar Initial.
What a lovely scent! Very sweet and fruity… but just fruity. It’s fine for the day, though I’m not sure if it stands out enough for evening.
Liked it, but it didn’t leave me breathless. It doesn’t last long on the skin. A friend lent it to me, and while it’s pretty, it lacks that personal touch I’m looking for, so I didn’t buy it.
I haven’t surrendered to a perfume in ages. Its only flaw is that it doesn’t last… if it held longer, it would be perfect. It’s elegant and subtle.
I haven’t surrendered to a perfume in ages; its only flaw is that its longevity is average… if it were more enduring it would be perfect. It’s elegant and subtle.
Litchi, caramel, and narcissus over an amber base, sweet, soft, and feminine. It also has a touch of elegance, but not as sober as the bottle suggests; rather, I find it jovial. It’s excellent for first dates, dinner outings, or recreational daytime encounters; I don’t see it as suitable for evening events, unless it’s for going to bed. The bottle suits it well… upon smelling it, I imagine an outfit in black, white, cream, and gold; stiletto heels, all delicate and refined. As Aquaura said, if you recall (a bit) Flora by Gucci EDP for my nose in the opening notes, The One Desire is more subtle and the vanilla touch changes everything. I didn’t detect any licorice.
Its opening notes are irresistible, sweet, sparkling, and delicious… but it has very little trail and after ten minutes there’s nothing left on the skin. A sad ending. Nothing nocturnal, nothing winter-appropriate, nothing sophisticated as its packaging suggests. I think they could have done much more, as the raw materials are excellent, but now designers are falling into the trend of trite gourmand scents to satisfy popular tastes.

Very similar to its predecessor The One, only this one has a classic oriental vanilla touch that makes it more nocturnal and sensual; the sweet notes are very subtle, so they don’t cloy at all.
A delightful experience for the senses! It shares the style of the original The One but is more subtle, with a soft caramel well-balanced with narcissus, citrus, and resins. It doesn’t saturate and lasts over six hours, though quite subtly. It develops better on cool, breezy afternoons… very chic and elegant, I’ve loved it. The beautiful bottle, black and minimalist, goes perfectly with the fragrance.
Ideal for a quinceañera gift, though it lacks mystery. While the ingredient combination is excellent, as SISSY-EMPERATRIZ says, it lacks depth, staying on the surface. It has no sillage or longevity, doesn’t transcend, it’s skin-scent only, very light… what a pity, because the aroma is exquisite.
I bought it and, to be honest, I didn’t like it; I thought it would have good longevity, but it’s not very soft and I feel it’s for older women. I ended up gifting it to my mother, who absolutely loved it… I’d stay with the new one called Dolce a thousand times over.
I tried it but it didn’t suit me; I expected better longevity, though it smells strong and I think it’s more suited to older women. In the end, I gave it to my mother and she adored it. I’d choose the new Dolce a thousand times over.
Dolce & Gabbana fragrances aren’t unpleasant, but they have a serious flaw: they don’t last long and their trail is very limited. This is an oriental scent, in the most commercial style imaginable. It might please without issue, but it will hardly conquer lovers of deep or mysterious scents. It’s not bad, but it feels dispensable. Suitable for those seeking very discreet scents.
Dolce & Gabbana fragrances aren’t ugly, but they have a serious flaw: they don’t last and the trail is minimal. This oriental scent, very commercial, might please some, but it will hardly win over those seeking something deep or mysterious. It’s not bad, but ultimately dispensable. Suitable for those wanting something very discreet.
I love it; it’s one of my favourites. I ask everyone what I’m wearing. I’ve adored it since its launch, though it’s best for evening wear; during the day it feels too heavy. It doesn’t smell like anything known, it’s truly unique!
Delicious. It’s a very gourmand and floral perfume. The caramel is soft, and the muguet with the neroli gives it a sparkly touch. Suitable for any occasion, J’adore.
Delicious! It’s super gourmand and floral, with a very soft caramel note. The muguet and narcissus give it that sparkling touch. Ideal for any occasion, J’adore.
It’s a conquering perfume, one of those you love without asking. It’s for specific occasions: night meetings, parties demanding sophistication. During the day or in enclosed spaces, it can be invasive. It’s very striking and intense for the night, although the longevity is short. It goes with all climates, though in the heat it can be dense for the wearer. What lasts longest is the sweetness of the caramel, vanilla and amber. The sandalwood marks a sensual point without overdoing it. At some point the mandarin’s sting makes it citrusy, returning to sweetness. It’s a feminine scent for over 25s, because the sandalwood removes the innocence. Longevity varies by skin; generally weak, but the trail can be heavy in certain conditions. It has a base similar to The One but much further from The One Rose. The bottle gets the colours right; it gives the impression of a chic encounter with semi-formal or formal attire. If it lasted longer, it would be ideal for standing out and being the centre of attention.
It’s a perfume that conquers, one of those you love but don’t ask questions about. It’s for specific occasions: night gatherings, parties that require a certain sophistication, among others. During the day or in enclosed spaces it can be quite invasive. It’s very striking and intense for night use, although its longevity is short; it works well in all types of weather, although in hot conditions it can feel dense for the wearer. The scent that lasts the longest is the sweet caramel, the vanilla and amber notes. The sandalwood marks a sensual point that doesn’t become excessive. At some point a certain zing from the mandarin makes it citrusy, returning to sweetness always. It’s a feminine scent for a range from 25 years old, as the sandalwood takes away the innocence. Its longevity varies from skin to skin but is generally weak; however, its trail can become heavy in certain conditions. It has a base similar to The One but much further from The One Rose. The packaging gets it right with colours that give the impression of a very chic meeting with semi-formal or formal outfits. If its longevity were greater, it would be an ideal perfume to stand out and be the centre of attention.
I couldn’t stand it and had to give it away. It has a very sharp note that upsets me, like some tropical fruit.
It’s one of the best perfumes that exist… truly delicious. In autumn is where it shines the most. And the bottle, a real luxury. Longevity and trail: excellent!
I love the The One line; I can sense their seductive beauty and the Italian sensuality so characteristic of this house. Desire still has the point of the classic The One, that sharp touch more typical of oriental fragrances, but Desire is much sweeter and vanilla-based. When it dries down, I’d say it adds a creamy coconut note that reminds me of The One Intense. It’s a nocturnal and autumnal perfume, with medium longevity and trail.
It’s a version of the original The One with more caramel and neroli. It’s a darker, more nocturnal and powerful scent. If the original The One reminded me of hair lacquer scents, Desire reminds me of a tropical garden at night. Stunning for late-night outings; it feels out of place in daily errands but has good longevity. The trail, however, is always moderate. It has a synthetic fruity character, very fashionable, but the neroli and ambered sandalwood give it strength and style. Perfect for cool temperatures; that subtle sweetness is pleasing and enhanced. For seductive women with strong personalities. It suits them. Test before buying. The caramelised neroli may not appeal to those who prefer less incisive scents.
It’s a caramel and neroli-heavy version of the original The One. It smells darker, more nocturnal and potent. If The One reminded me of hairspray, this evokes a tropical garden at night. Ideal for going out partying. It clashes in the office, though the fixation is good. The trail is moderate. It has a synthetic fruity character, very trendy, but the ambered sandalwood and neroli give it strength. Perfect for fresh days; that subtle sweetness is pleasing and intensifies. For seductive, characterful women. It suits them. Try before you buy; caramelised neroli might not appeal to those who prefer softer scents.
It’s the only The One I’ve owned, super rich. It’s suggested for going out at night, but on cool afternoons it’s great whenever I feel like wearing it. The top notes are barely noticeable; what stands out most is the sweetness, the neroli and the sandalwood. I managed to make it last six years without any care, without its box, sitting on a stand in the entrance receiving light and temperature changes. Here lies a genius by D&G: despite my poor treatment, it remained flawless until the last drop; I understand it’s due to the perfect bottle and cap; the fragrance didn’t change a bit (I did the same with two other fragrances and it didn’t work well; in little time they had changed significantly).
The jewel of Dolce & Gabbana, without a doubt. It opens spicy with lychee and juicy citrus fruits; the floral heart of neroli gives it intensity, and it dries down to a creamy, sensual caramel-vanilla trail. On my skin it’s not heavy, but moderate and close, yet it goes straight into my top five without hesitation. It’s truly a fragrance to be desired with all your senses.
What a marvel! It’s sweet, seductive and very feminine. The trail is moderate but lasts for hours. I received many compliments with it. The entire The One line shares a common denominator, but in Desire the caramel sets it apart, making it sweeter. It’s elegant, sophisticated and perfect for feeling beautiful.
Unmistakable and not cloying. It has a strong presence, is feminine, sensual and sophisticated. In my opinion, perfect for winter nights. I bought about eight bottles and they discontinued it; I still have two left and would buy it again without hesitation.
It smells like Doll, with a touch of talc that gives it that vintage vibe.
