Turquatic by MAC

I can’t wait for summer to arrive just to wear this fragrance. It’s super refreshing. I’m so happy to have it in my collection.

A cheerful and chic perfume. It has an air of sophistication despite its citrusy character. I can’t stop smelling it when I wear it and I receive lots of compliments. Shareable, but a little more feminine. I smelt it on the wrist of a lovely Mac shop assistant, and I couldn’t leave the shop without it! Since then I’ve bought it again and again. It must never be discontinued. I’d be devastated if that happened! It’s the lasting power that leaves something to be desired. It’s so delicious I wish it lasted 12 hours.

Turquatic – turquoise aquatic eau de toilette, very refreshing, summery, a bit exotic. Dominated by aquatic notes, with the addition of floral and citrus notes. This edition has very good reviews, which is no wonder and will probably displease almost no one. The “watery notes” are most of the time synthetic, which is perhaps also the case for “lotus.” These are all “fantasy notes,” water has no odour, nor can lotus boast of having one. What matters is how they are rendered, and here it is done very, very well and the result is extremely pleasant. Turquatic is a unisex perfume, which men who love musk can wear, but its floral aspect appeals a bit more to women. The only problem is that it is not very strong in terms of longevity and projection… My congratulations. On Fragrantica score – 4.25. I confirm.

It’s interesting how everyone has their own perception of odours. I don’t detect any green or herbal note in this perfume at all, and looking at the composition we can see that it doesn’t have any. And I don’t particularly like perfumes with herbal notes. In this perfume I notice a lot of lemon and aquatic notes, with a discreet woody note in the background. I consider it an aquatic citrus. Oh, and despite being unisex, the fragrance suits women better in my opinion.

At first I liked it and decided to buy it, as it seemed watery, with a touch of something invigorating, neither lime nor menthol. Overall, it was very fresh, just what you need for summer. But on skin it turned into a copy of L’eau d’Issey, dominated by lotus, which, unfortunately, is ruthlessly sour on me and clogs everything else. And then it turned into cologne altogether. From here I think it will sound more interesting on men. From the blotter, the fragrance is not sour, but still, slightly cologne-like. Although, I think, there is no need to apply it to skin. You can put it on your hair and clothes…;)

The previous Turquatic was, in my opinion, longer-lasting, the only perfume I bought, several times. Mostly because the scent and the price (ridiculous) are incomparable, but it’s gone…. And how joyful that they’ve revived it, and on top of that already in 50ml! So feminine, delicate…. Super! And I don’t care about staying power). The fragrance is said to be unisex…. But what kind of man would wear them…. I don’t know.

A pretty and pleasant fragrance. It’s ideal for spring and summer.. at first the lemon and cedar notes may remind you of Light Blue, but after a while it turns more floral whilst still remaining unisex. I had never smelt a MAC perfume and I think it’s a good option for girls and guys who go to buy cosmetics, see this perfume on display and want to take it home, just because it’s from MAC. I don’t know if I would buy it, because although I love this brand’s lipsticks, I thought the perfume was overpriced for what it is. The “anemone” note caught my attention, I didn’t know there was a flower with this name, the only anemones I knew were the ones belonging to cnidarians 😉

A lovely, pleasant fragrance, perfect for spring and summer. At first, the lemon and cedar remind me of Light Blue, but it soon becomes more floral without losing its unisex vibe. I’ve never tried MAC perfumes before and think it’s a good option for those who buy cosmetics; seeing it on the mantelpiece makes you fancy buying it just because it’s from the brand. I’m not sure if I’d buy it myself, as I adore their lipsticks, but the price seemed high for what it offers. The anemone note caught my attention—I didn’t know such a flower existed; the only ones I knew were the cnidarian kind 😉
