A very rich and long-lasting fragrance; I recommend it.
It’s like a copy of Pierre Cardin Pour Monsieur, though it also bears a resemblance to the original Hugo Boss or Number One, but it is much more similar to Pierre Cardin and lighter. For those who have used Pierre Cardin, you know what I mean: imagine the same thing but much lighter. The only difference is that sometimes it gives a sweet sensation, similar to Baldessarini Del Mar Caribbean. Low trail and medium longevity; on me, it lasted about six hours, with the first three hours very close to the skin and the following ones almost imperceptible, perhaps because I have the after-shave version.
Tuesday, 9 April 2019, from Santo Domingo. It smells nice, but… Vera Wang has a fresh, citrusy scent, reminiscent of fresh mandarin, but what a disappointment. Its trail is poorer than someone who has been unemployed for ten years, and its longevity died the moment it was born. Without even mentioning the projection, which is almost non-existent. I didn’t receive a single compliment. Although I have half the bottle left to finish, I spray 20 or more times and it doesn’t project; it just stays there. Pretty on the outside, very ugly on the inside regarding trail and projection. I would only recommend it to someone who likes a subtle fragrance, so that neither anyone else nor you notice it, because it vanishes in the blink of an eye. Do not recommend it to anyone seeking a good trail and projection. Its price ranges from $13 to $20, and yet it was… a huge disappointment. Aroma 8/10, trail 0/10, projection 0/10.
I loved it. If it came out in 2004, it bears a strong resemblance to D&G The One. To my nose, they are very similar (they only share tobacco), but the Vera Wang smells fresher, with lots of mandarin and yuzu at the start, before settling into the D&G vibe. On my skin, the longevity and trail are comparable and not bad. Worth the price; it doesn’t smell old-fashioned or exclusively for older men; it’s very versatile. I enjoy it quite a bit!
Decent aroma, good projection and longevity, excellent quality overall. 6.5/10. At first, I found it synthetic and low-quality, but after giving it a few more chances, I’ve grown to like it. Not my favourite, but it’s perfect for wearing to work during the day.
