Vibrant Leather Summer Breeze by Zara is a fragrance from the Leather olfactive family for men. This creation, signed by Zara in 2025, is presented as a novelty in the brand's catalogue. The top notes unfold a vibrant accord of lemon, sour lime, bergamot and ginger. The heart of the composition reveals the elegance of black tea, neroli and jasmine, while the base notes land on a woody foundation with tonka bean.

I loved it; I’d say it’s a faithful successor to the Zara Summer Cologne, not as good and very similar to Dior Homme Cologne, but it has the vibe. Super fresh, revitalising and energetic, it has that sweet pinch of tonka bean that reminds me of Allure Homme. To me, it smells like a Lima-Lemon aroma with very good projection and longevity for a fresh perfume. The bottle is nice with a glaze, it has a sprayer you wouldn’t expect from Zara; most are ‘spit-squirters’ as I say, and it has a magnetic cap. I wore it yesterday at the gym and it kept getting compliments while I was sweating. Something unexpected, a perfume for this summer.
Without any undue animosity, Fragrantica walks a fine line with perfumes and their similarities. I see many YouTube channels, but not in an uncritical way, and with this Summer, I’ve been very critical of how it’s been analysed by some. Let everyone try this Vibrant Leather Summer Breeze and draw their own conclusions… if it suits you, enjoy it and buy a refill. However, the supposed resemblance to Dior Homme Cologne doesn’t fit my experience; in my opinion, it doesn’t exist. I highlight how recurrent and ‘easy’ it is to link any citrus with Dior. Quick in-store test reviews should be taken with a pinch of salt, including mine. Enjoy this flanker.
I’m sorry to say that I didn’t like anything of it… Another summer floor cleaner from Zara.
I can’t compare it to anything, only Sunrise on the Red Sand Dunes, and they don’t resemble each other. You can detect a faint base of Sunrise. At first, an intense but not sweet citrus, like a floral lemonade. As it settles, it smells of orange Tic Tac sweets, not orange. The citrus reminds me of an old Cartier Declaration. On my skin it lasts 4-5 hours, losing intensity after the first hour. I walked in without intention through the Vibrant Leather, but I took it. It’s fresh, youthful, energetic and perfect for summer at €20.
I’m sorry to say that I didn’t like anything about it… Another summer floor-waxer from Zara…
I loved it, it’s a faithful successor to Zara Summer Cologne: less good but with the same vibe. Super fresh, energetic, with a pinch of sweet tonka vanilla that reminds me of Allure Homme. Smells of lime-lemon with very good projection and longevity for a fresh scent. The bottle is pretty, with an unexpected spray from Zara (most are just a spit) and a magnetic cap. Something unexpected, perfect for this summer. I wore it to the gym yesterday and they couldn’t stop praising it.
The free marketing of this Summer Breeze at the expense of Dior Homme Cologne will be studied in the future. They romanticise that the previous ones resembled DHC and now present this as the new cheap dupe. False. It doesn’t draw inspiration from DHC nor evoke anything of it; they only share the bottle and citrus notes. If they want to call it a dupe, they should compare it with Xerjoff or Aqua di Parma. Dior is refined, fizzy and neat; this Zara is a sharp citrus explosion, bitter, with rough lime, grapefruit and ugly lemon with ginger. It softens to creamy and sweetish shortly after, but doesn’t last long (4-5 hours). In the end it reminds of Sunrise, but of much poorer quality. You can’t be fooled saying it smells like Dior when they don’t share any chords. Dior defines with Calabria bergamot; this uses supermarket lime and lemon. Worth €20, but avoid these blind buys. Without the hype, it would pass without glory or shame. Salu2
A good revitalising fragrance; these aren’t standard sweet citrus notes, they’re acidic and even almost bitter. It recalls several legendary fragrances like Dior Homme Cologne, especially in the dry-down where it softens and sweetens a bit, much like DHC. Insisting that they don’t resemble each other indicates animosity. DHC has been compared to many, but this resembles it ten times more than Adolfo Domínguez does. On my skin, it reminds me of Eau Sauvage Cologne due to its acidity and bitterness; I almost smell the white part of the lemon and lime, though it lacks that green-herbal touch. It evolves and softens to a white musky base that reveals its tiny sweetness to balance. It’s very similar to DHC here, but this one holds up better in this phase, remaining less sweet and more whole. DHC lasted longer but was barely noticeable; this lasts fewer hours but with more presence. Perfect for summer and escaping cloying smells. Good longevity for a citrus and at this price.
Super refreshing and revitalising, it fizzles like a lemon soda, ideal for summer. It’s unisex. Lasts 4-5 hours on skin and until the next day on clothes; I was surprised by the longevity in a citrus summer scent. The sprayer is generous, I love taking a shower in it after bathing without it hurting my wallet. To me, it reminds me of a glass of Sprite with ice and a slice of lemon.
The free marketing about this Summer Breeze at the expense of Dior Homme Cologne, via rushed reviews on YouTube, will be studied in the future. It’s based on the idea that previous flankers resembled ‘something’ of the poor-quality DHC, its discontinuation is romanticised, and now it’s inferred that this new Summer is the dupe to smell ‘practically the same’ as DHC but cheap. I’m sorry to say it’s false. There are poor-quality dupes that refer back to the original, but this isn’t the case. It doesn’t draw inspiration from DHC nor evoke DHC in any way; it’s on a different course. It resembles it in that it’s a citrus perfume, that’s as far as it goes. If we’re going to present it as a dupe, why not as one of Reinassence or Aqua di Parma? Dior Homme Cologne has been set up as the reference, and every cheap citrus is automatically presented as its dupe. The opening of this Summer Breeze is aggressive and synthetic; it’s impossible for it to resemble DHC, which is luminous and exquisite. This Zara is a sharp, bitter citrus explosion, leaning towards rough lime with grapefruit and ugly lemon highlighted with ginger. It softens later and evolves to a creamy, slightly sweet scent, but not much, with short longevity of 4-5 hours. In its final phase, it resembles Sunrise on the Red Sand Dunes, which is of better quality and evolution. I can understand that it might be forgiven for its price if it’s a bit brash, but YOU CANNOT DECEIVE people by saying it smells like Dior Homme Cologne when they don’t share chords or aura. Dior is fine and spotless; this one starts rough and smells cheap, sweetens with tonka bean and fixes with woods, without a defined personality. Dior’s Calabria Bergamot has nothing to do with the lime and lemon of this Makro product. Fine, it’s £20, but by avoiding these bad purchases, you get the Dior or better, one from a major house. If it weren’t for the hype of its false resemblance, it would pass without notice or glory. ‘They smell the same in the air’, some say, well, to each their own…
I can’t compare it to anything because I haven’t tried another that resembles it, only Sunrise on the Red Sand Dunes, and they don’t match. There’s a faint background of that Sunrise. At first, it’s an intense fresh citrus but not sweet, like lemonade with something floral. As it settles, it smells like orange Tic Tac sweets, not the smell of orange. The predominant citrus reminds me of a Cartier Declaration from years ago. On my skin, it lasts 4-5 hours, losing intensity after the first hour. I entered Zara without intending to buy it because I don’t like Vibrant Leather scents, but in the end, I took it. It’s fresh, youthful and energetic. Perfect for summer at £20.
It’s revitalising, an explosion of lemon at first that makes you want to bathe in it. I’m going to be heartbroken when Zara discontinues it; I’ve fallen in love. The longevity is regular, around 3 hours on the skin and until the next day on clothes. The projection is good for the first hour and then fades, but it’s excellent for the gym or the office in the heat. I think it’s a Zara gem that would explode in popularity if more people talked about it.
In the opening, it smells totally like a bathroom/floor cleaning product, a very artificial lemon that I don’t think anyone can like. Later, from 30 minutes onwards, that smell drops significantly and leaves a clean and floral scent that is indeed pleasant. You have to get closer than 1m for them to smell it, but it’s a very good and summery scent. This is the scent that remains until it disappears at approx. 3/4 hours. I haven’t heard the Vibrant Leather, but if it smelled like this but without that artificial and annoying lemon opening, it would be my choice before this. I can’t get my head around how anyone can enjoy the opening of this perfume. I’m not sure it’s worth 20€; for the rest, it’s not entirely bad. 6.5/10.
Tested this afternoon, it has an undeniable resemblance to EAU SAVAGE COLOGNE; the DNA is the same as the classic Dior one. Only tested in-store, the performance seems average, typical of Zara. Be careful comparing it with DHC; that’s not where it’s heading and you’ll be disappointed, it’s not even 50% similar. If you’re looking for something similar to Dior Homme Cologne but cheaper, go for Adolfo Domínguez Citrus Cedro instead.
I absolutely love it; it’s super refreshing and energising, smelling of perfect fizzy lemonade, ideal for summer. It’s unisex and I’m surprised it lasts 4 or 5 hours on the skin and even until the next day on clothes, which is rare for a citrus scent. The sprayer is generous, so it’s worth a good drench for the price. To me, it reminds me of a glass of Sprite with ice and lemon.
I hardly write reviews anymore (parenthood, laziness, and other things), but I’ll summarise it quickly based on my subjectivity: 75% Imagination and 25% Dior Homme Cologne, so you get an idea. Regarding performance, about 5 hours. Spraying on clothes lasts a bit longer, obviously, but it’s not something Chanel invented. For that price? I think it’s a tremendous success for warm weather.
Well gentlemen, this resembles Dior Homme Cologne like an egg to a chestnut. The opening gives me, alongside the synthetic citrus, a cloying sweetness similar to peaches in syrup that radically distances it from the incredibly fresh and well-executed, like lemons and limes freshly taken out of ice water from DHC. Perhaps Zara Vibrant Leather Cologne would resemble DHC; this one does not. Already in the dry-down, at 4 hours, there isn’t such a big difference, but it’s that both in two hands, already close to the skin, DHC remains much more refreshing. Do you like DHC? Save up and buy it; it’s the only one that naturally simulates lemon and lime and incorporates neroli, petit grain, and the white flowers of 4711 to resemble DHC. Don’t look for alternatives that disappoint FOR NOW.
I hardly do reviews anymore, but I’ll summarise quickly: 75% Imagination and 25% Dior Homme Cologne. Regarding performance, around 5 hours, a bit more on clothes. For that price? I think it’s a tremendous success for warm weather.
I must confess that this perfume has surprised me for the better. It has an effervescent opening, though not as much as Vetiver Pamplemousse, with a slightly synthetic start. However, after a few seconds, it gives way to a scent that, while not the most natural, is not excessively artificial either. Moreover, it evolves. That first purely citrus and lemonade impression gives way to green nuances and a subtle touch of tangerine that adds warmth and rounds off the whole. It could seem like a typical cologne without longevity, but it surprises: it lasts quite well, especially considering the type of fragrance. In summary: a citrus-type cologne with quality and performance that far exceed its price. It sins a bit of being synthetic, but if you are aware of the style, it can be a blind buy.
Dior Homme Cologne and Imagination L.V. had a fling, got confused, and months later gave birth to this unrecognised daughter who ended up being adopted by Mr Zara, who, as a good Pygmalion, turned her into a work of art for the heat and, to laugh out loud at the biological parents, priced her at 19.90€. My ten points to Mr Zara. TOP✓
Dior Homme Cologne and Imagination L.V. got lost and gave birth to this unrecognised daughter, adopted by Mr Zara. Like a good Pygmalion, he turned her into a summer work of art, pricing it at €19.90 which makes the biological parents laugh. My ten stars to Mr Zara. TOP✓
Vibrant Leather Summer Breeze has nothing to do with Dior Homme Cologne. This smells like a cleaning product or insecticide, whereas Dior Homme smells like natural lemon, like a real one.
It resembles Ck One Essence a lot but with the sweetness of tonka bean, which makes it very pleasant and bright. I love it; it has an opening that is slightly synthetic, like that powdered sweet lemon, which disappears in 15 minutes and sweetens, making it very balanced. It lasts well, still detectable in the sixth hour.
Starts very fresh and citrusy, with a chilled sensation and a smell of sweet, freshly squeezed lemon. Minutes pass and the ginger appears, giving it a spiced and peppery twist. I couldn’t agree more with those who call it lemonade, but not the cheap supermarket kind, but the one served on a terrace or in a classy bar. As it dries, it moves away from that lemonade, focusing on warmer notes; you can detect the amber and the tea drying with a certain bitterness and sweetness. Regarding comparisons with Dior Homme Cologne, I don’t understand the reviews saying they are different; in my opinion, they are very similar, especially in the first hour. I have a decant of DHC and although there are tiny differences, the scent is practically the same. After that hour, it distances itself more and more (although it maintains similarity with DHC) and resembles the dried-out version of Sunrise on the Red Sand Dunes INTENSE (note: the intense version, not the original) more than Imagination as has been said so much; the tea in Imagination is much fresher than that in Summer Breeze, which goes for the warm and sweet side. The longevity works well for me, about 8 hours on skin projecting for the first hour and then dropping but not leaving the skin. I tried it for the first time at 19:30 at Zara and upon waking up the next day (08:30) it was still detectable if I put my nose to my wrist. Rating: 8.5/10.
At first, the lemon sounded synthetic and I didn’t understand why it was called Vibrant Leather, as the line usually has a different character. But applying it on skin at 39 degrees, I realised how brilliant it is. It’s an excellent twist on the classic Vibrant Leather, as if adding 65% of Acqua di Gio EDT (minus the marine notes) with tea and ginger notes, keeping the classic base in the background. It feels like an elegant citrus, although the longevity is disappointing: between 3 and 4 hours with moderate projection (I suppose the tea and ginger kick in as it dries). It’s a hidden gem for hot days that will surprise more than one person.
Smells great and lasts, but it’s not good.
