Another gem from Cristian Cavagna’s neroli study: lovely and intriguing, though it hasn’t quite won me over like my beloved Musa Paradisiaca. Here, the neroli recalls that signature crushed note, yet it’s far more fleeting, accented by aldehydes. Soon it settles into a fresh, green accord, wrapped in a subtle raspberry sweetness and a very modern, noticeable metallic hint. The iris, like a powdery nuance alongside the aldehydes, adds significant character. After three hours, an ambered incense also comes into play. It has moderate sillage and lasts over 10 hours on my skin. It’s consistent, but not the projection powerhouse that Musa is, making it more versatile. I see it as a light, elegant approach to neroli, perfect for everyday wear in spring and summer, especially in office settings. The best part is that it’s tremendously original. If you enjoy metallic notes and florals without the opulence, animalic qualities, or cloying sweetness, this is your neroli. The fact that Cavagna offers such distinct interpretations of such a well-worn (and yet so beloved) note is undeniably commendable. Scent 7.5/10, Longevity 10/10, Sillage 8/10, Value for money 8.5/10, Packaging 9/10. Would I buy again? I haven’t purchased it yet.
