Yapana smells like Guerlain’s Shalimar. It has a leather note not listed here, reminding me of a more feminine version of M from Pure Distance. The heart is floral, featuring a very powdery iris with rose and ylang-ylang over a balsamic base of labdanum and benzoin, bolstered by patchouli and sweetened with vanilla. The spices, especially the clove, give it character, while the rice makes it super powdery, typical of the brand. It lasts a long time, ideal for cool evening/night wear. Although it appears feminine, it is totally unisex: sweet, floral, and powdery. Scent: 8.5, Longevity: 8, Projection: 7, Value for money: 5, Versatility: 7, Originality: 8, Overall: 8.5
