How unfair we’ve been with Yara Rosa! Saying it smells of nothing, is cloying, or is a dud… In reality, it’s one of the perfumes that defined the Arab fragrance phenomenon, now approaching six years old. In our accelerated consumer society, that’s a long time. I liked it from the start: it reminds me of Petit Suisse from childhood or strawberry milkshakes with cream in summer. There’s a hidden note of lipstick, like those from the 80s and 90s. It’s true it isn’t nuanced with woods or incense (sandalwood and musk are almost imperceptible), which we’d expect from an opulent Arab perfume. But Yara is designed to be the pretty girl: applying perfume after a bath in a pink robe while brushing your hair. Please, don’t ask for more. It fulfils everything it promises. What did we expect from such a cute bottle to be as heavy-handed as Opium or Bade Al Oud? It’s also important not to settle for a poor dupe and buy the real thing.

For me it’s a total disappointment. I bought it due to the hype on social media and because they said it was similar to Pepe Jeans for Her. First, it doesn’t resemble Pepe Jeans at all. Second, it has a strange aroma for me, as if you were boiling milk and adding sandalwood instead of cinnamon, placed on cotton or cashmere… Very weird. I don’t feel the sweetness everyone talks about, nor vanilla, nor the fruity note, nor any dessert touch. Additionally, the scent is super synthetic and plastic; I compared it to Burberry for Her for how plastic it smells 🙁

I bought it due to the hype, but I don’t understand if those reviewing it here are hallucinating or simply being coquettish. It’s a boring perfume that makes me feel like a woman. It smells like nothing or smells old. In the dry down, it smells like old urine. It’s not worth the cost, it doesn’t work, and don’t spend money on it. Those who say it lasts 8 hours, trails, and so on, are you right? You won’t hate it if someone gifts it to you, but a body splash is better.

It’s not the most special perfume in the world, but it’s very comfortable in price. It’s sweet, fruity with a very feminine air. Perhaps too sweet for some tastes, but as it’s not very strong, I find it discreet and elegant. I am doing my best not to use it up in less than three months. I might buy it again, but I have other interests. It has been an interesting acquisition and I have no regrets.

They say it’s overused and smells generic, but… it’s the only one I’ve gone through three bottles of. For me, it’s the perfect balance between powdery, clean, and sweet. It doesn’t smell like strawberry milkshake or baby powder as people claim, but more like ‘makeup powder’. It’s not tiring, and although it’s easy to identify, it’s the one that has earned me the most compliments.

I finally have it and I must say it’s very romantic and delicate. The dry-down is beautiful. The trail and longevity aren’t huge, but for the price it’s brilliant. The bottle is pretty too. I’d wear it all year round except in summer. Mostly daytime, though it could work at night depending on your taste. I’ve loved it.

To be honest, it’s delicious for me: it’s a super creamy strawberry milkshake. I love it, though what I dislike is that it’s a perfume accessible to everyone and the favourite of everyone; it doesn’t make me feel iconic. I recommend it only for cold weather, because in the heat it does become cloying.

An excellent option for those who want to smell like a dessert. Delicate and soft vanilla sensation. It’s not noticeable when walking past; it’s subtle. It’s more of a daytime scent than an evening one, and I wouldn’t wear it in winter. Yes, it’s trendy and everyone is using it, but it’s worth it.

Soft, feminine, with a hint of strawberries and cream. It doesn’t last long on the skin, but it sticks well to clothes. People said: ‘sweet but not cloying’. I used it daily, even putting it on my motorcycle, and it resisted the journey. Perhaps 3 or 4 hours before fading. Good price.

It has been one of my favourite daily perfumes since I picked it up from the sales four months ago. I like it very much combined with a gourmand moisturiser; I think it boosts its longevity a lot. I will buy it again for daily use because for the evening it would be too flat.

It smells nice but is very basic; it doesn’t remind me of anything. It just smells sweet and floral, but I couldn’t identify the notes. Plus, seven people in my city have already smelled it, which is worse than the rest of the world.

I bought it due to positive reviews and it hasn’t disappointed. It smells like a delicious strawberry shake on my skin. I like the slight comparison to Bianco Latte; it’s worth it. It’s informal but rich; I use it sparingly.

It’s a rich and long-lasting perfume, like a strawberry wrapped in a marshmallow with a touch of talc, a super feminine scent. I recommend it blindly, 100% ❤️
