  1. I really liked it, but the longevity is non-existent and once it dries down, there’s a strange smell, as if it’s gone off. This happens with other perfumes too (Kenzo, Montblanc, Moschino), especially if I overapply; I think it’s a specific ingredient.

  2. Dolce is a shy, beautiful floral, like the start of spring with the first seasonal fruits: small, tender, and lovely. It’s an easy, uncomplicated perfume. It has a hint of freshness and a minimal floral-fruity touch, like newborn flowers with dew. Ideal for noses looking for something safe, non-intrusive, and pleasant all year round. It’s a kind, cheerful softness, like Chloe or Daisy. It’s the croissant when you don’t know what to order, the comfortable and pretty option to avoid complicating your life.

  3. Dolce is a fresh spring air scent, like straight after a shower. Its opening notes are green, fresh, clean, and soft, intensifying over time. You can detect the white flowers (which made me choose it) and the musk. After an hour, it’s not a trail or long-lasting fragrance, typical of green notes. It’s an expensive indulgence but very pretty.

  4. I used it a few years ago and loved it: super sweet, floral, fresh, and feminine. Perfect for day and summer. I also liked its advertising. I wore a lot of it and adored it. Now it doesn’t smell as rich, and I agree with those who say it’s very expensive.

  5. I’m surprised every time I use it; I feel like I’m discovering different moments. The opening is a green breeze; the first sensation is a summer afternoon at sunset, when the freshness of the night begins to arrive. It’s undoubtedly green, but unlike classics, for me the creaminess is very present alongside the flowers, creating an intoxicating aroma. It’s cheerful and delicate. I love how it performs on my skin.

  6. Fresh, green, and aquatic. Apart from the lotus, the narcissus is clearly noticeable in the floral part. It has a moderate trail and lasts about 8 hours on my skin. If I had it, I’d use it for informal summer occasions, but it gives me sensations similar to a cheaper perfume in my collection, Lightly Bloom by Zara, which performs equally or better on my skin, so I wouldn’t buy it. Scent 6.5/10, Longevity 8/10, Trail 6.5/10, Value for money 6.5/10, Versatility 7.5/10, Packaging 8.5/10. Would I buy again? No.

  7. Miss Birkin

My mother owns this perfume and I’ve used it a few times. I like it, but not much; it’s not my style or age, but it’s acceptable. 7.9/10.

  8. When in 2014 D&G realised that Monica Bellucci could no longer be their flagship due to the loss of her youthful glow and the need to capture new generations, they decided to ‘Belluccify’ the most similar model to launch their new perfume with a Generation Y scent. The choice of model (Kate King, Canadian) suggests they wanted to convey the line change with the image: made-up and dressed to look as Italian as possible, copying Bellucci. However, the girl lacks the original’s allure. Something similar happens with Dolce: they try to sell it as the next Italian brand perfume, but it’s pleasant, no more than a bland and artificial perfume for summer days, like musky water lily water with a citrus opening and lots of cashmere at the end. Despite being a summer scent, it lasts less than an hour in the heat, unless you apply it in litres, in which case it lingers on the skin for a couple more hours. No idea of the real cost; I used up my 1.5 ml sample in a day and lost interest, but it surely isn’t worth £10. If you like light and feminine perfumes, I highly recommend trying Japanese houses like Issey Miyake or Kenzo: for similar prices, they offer diaphanous perfumes with better longevity and quality. Pleasant: 5/10, Interesting: 3/10, Versatile: 6/10, Original: 3/10.

  9. I find Dolce to be a very charming perfume, far from those scandalous fragrances that abound nowadays (BonBon, LVEB, BR540, etc.), but it’s part of its essential charm. In my experience, it lasts more than 15 hours (though I must warn that I have the enviable characteristic that perfumes last forever on me). Setting that aside, what’s important is that Dolce is fresh, ideal for use after a morning shower. I sense a spirit of Italian romance and its coasts: you find yourself on Lake Como or a Greek island, your summer holidays with friends, white and relaxed outfits, ethereal. You go there for love, to enjoy and relax, not for scandalous parties, but to meet people you enjoy spending time with and sharing intimate conversations. This perfume is what you smell in that experience with friends and perfectly known strangers; you wear it from the moment you leave the hotel, go shopping in luxury boutiques and local shops, visit ruins, enjoy culture, and in the evening, you greet new people with a kiss on the cheek at an intimate party on a terrace or beach, enjoying the night breeze. These strangers sense your perfume and feel as if they’re embracing a friendship they connect with so much, even if they’ve only met in dreams. When you see the sunrise, you know you’ll remember those Woody Allen-style holidays for the rest of your life. Dolce is fresh and has a well-executed sweet and aquatic aroma, but despite describing it with few words, what it conveys is quite comforting.

  10. To my taste, it’s a soft, delicious fragrance with a floral and delicate scent. Its longevity is low for the price it’s worth. However, I would buy it again if I find it on offer.

  11. It was my perfume for a while the budget version of Fraiché XD. I saw it in an advert and as my finances couldn’t stretch to the original I went for the ‘trendy’ variant. I loved it: sweet lovely and needed no more. Two years later when I had a bit more money I bought the original. Very expensive yes but it was worth it. Then I realised the cheap versions were nothing in comparison. That’s how my journey into this perfumed world began. Just wearing it made me feel good but its scent added the extra touch. To this day I still love it though it doesn’t provoke the same feelings as before. I understand that by discovering other strong somewhat extravagant and vintage scents I found myself. Dolce is a youthful fragrance with which I stopped identifying although I still have great affection for it. It goes without saying but I MUST highlight it: it lasts a lifetime. It is subtle yes fresh and floral not shy but as if it wanted to go unnoticed. I love it for the affection but I wouldn’t buy it again; it’s too expensive for its trail and longevity plus it’s very close to the skin. If they lowered the price I would certainly although I haven’t even used half the bottle. At first I didn’t want to use it up so quickly then I fell in love with others and it faded into the background…

  12. I have a miniature of this perfume but I wouldn’t buy the full size. No matter how much I exaggerate the application I can’t make it linger or last; it fades easily. Although it is a lovely fresh and floral scent it makes no difference or distinction. It doesn’t move me but if it were a beautiful perfume perhaps I would buy it if it impregnated well and lasted moderately.

  13. I just bought this fragrance blind; I was pregnant and it came out as a hot sale at 50%. It is a fragrance that says nothing. It is quite floral and resembles floor cleaners in Argentina almost exactly nearly identical to Poett which disappointed me quite a bit. It is a mild generic French scent that feels like any imitation. In my country Argentina everything carries this perfume: supermarket creams cleaners tonics make-ups… A real pity.

  14. I gave it to my mother and ended up using it myself. It is fresh and clean with good longevity but I didn’t repeat it; perhaps if I buy it again next autumn. It is curious because I see people using it more in summer/spring but for me it is very autumnal.

  15. Another beautiful fresh and feminine fragrance ideal for hot seasons where one doesn’t fancy something so intense but which adds elegance. People criticise it for longevity and trail but personally I am delighted: on me it lasts very good eight hours sometimes up to ten with a good trail not enough to make anyone dizzy but it is very well perceived when I pass by. It has to be tested on skin because pH is what makes the click.

  16. It is a very well combined floral-fruity scent. It smells delicious the instant you put it on or smell it in the bottle. But I have never had a perfume with such scarce persistence on my skin; I think after half an hour I can’t feel it or it can’t be felt. I have friends who own it and it happens to all of them: it dilutes and disappears in half an hour. I don’t understand how Dolce & Gabbana launched something with so much marketing and significant price given that scarce persistence. I do not recommend it.

  17. It is a pity it stays on the skin for so little time because it smells good. If it weren’t so expensive it would be worth using daily to go to work with no further pretensions. It is fresh soft and pleasant but it’s not worth the price it has.

  18. I don’t understand why it has so many ‘I don’t likes’. It is a fresh and floral scent quite suitable for all audiences. I like it. I think the bottle is expensive but if it were cheaper I would buy it because I know it doesn’t last long and I would end up applying more and using it up sooner. But from there to dislike well not really.

  19. DOLCE by Dolce & Gabbana: a seductive fragrance with a delicious feminine scent that captivated me. This is my 5th bottle. The house launched its fragrance in early 2014. Dolce represents an emotional and romantic journey through Sicily. It is described as a soft and feminine perfume of white flowers. The freshness of neroli together with the exquisiteness of papaya flower open the composition; this opening is sweet on the nose while making a beautiful introduction to the heart which dominates with white amaryllis (African used for the first time in fragrance) narcissus and white water lily. They provide substance and depth blending perfectly into a luminous unique and dazzling combination a delight. The base is soft with cashmere and musk. This fragrance is fascinating; it transports me to a spring garden. With moderate trail it lasts eight hours on the skin and days on clothes. It is ideal for warm weather light and fresh offering luminous notes flowers that remain until late afternoon. It is versatile can be worn every day but I also take it to outdoor weddings and it is always a success. A classic and original floral fragrance perfect for spring and summer a mixture with personality very feminine not generic on the contrary within its softness and romanticism it is groundbreaking and elegant. The bottle is lovely beautiful one of the best from D&G.

  20. Edu Lezana

D & G wanted to capture in this perfume the tradition Mediterranean character and Latin sensuality of the Italian woman. Today I wear it on my skin thanks to a free sample given to me some time ago and the truth is it reminds me of the smell of bamboo stick air fresheners. A synthetic floral air freshener and soft. I don’t smell bergamot if I perceive slightly a yellow narcissus scent but with great effort to perceive any flower. Synthetic musk stands out all the time. An innocuous inoffensive and opaque fragrance. It has no distinction nor evokes sensations when worn. Fortunately its performance is poor and the suffering of wearing it lasts only a short while. Very expensive by the way. This perfume is not worth that much.

  21. I love it! Smells of grass, herbs and lots of green… even though it’s not listed in the notes, that’s what I perceive on my skin and it lasts for ages, considering how fresh it is. Must be down to pH. I’m obsessed.

  22. What a shame that on my skin it smells very synthetic, the longevity is poor and the sillage is soft. It’s identical to Dolce Rosa Excelsa. I wouldn’t recommend it.

  23. A simple fragrance, uncomplicated. I love it; when I put it on, I feel like I’ve just stepped out of the bath, happier and more relaxed. It’s for private enjoyment, not to attract attention.

  24. Floral and harmless, for good girls or delicate women. It gives me the same feelings as Anaïs Anaïs. They don’t look alike but share a style. The sillage is soft and all that remains is a creamy musk melted into the skin, with a faint memory of white petals. It’s docile, simple and correct, but it lacks the soul that Cacharel truly imparted to their sweet florals. Approved, but just on the edge.

  25. RenataMISTICA

I think it’s very expensive, it doesn’t last at all and there are better options. I wouldn’t recommend it; it’s like throwing money down the drain.

  26. VainillaDulce

What a disappointment for Dolce. This fragrance is overdone; it’s so simple and unbalanced that it feels cheap, bordering on bizarre because a brand like this risks launching something so mundane and it shows from the bottle. I only detect three notes: orange blossom, water lily and an exaggerated, synthetic musk. I have nothing positive to say; it and I just don’t get along.

  27. It’s not bad, but neither is it surprising. At least it didn’t make me feel anything positive. I wouldn’t buy it; it doesn’t last long either; the pink version is better, that one actually does.

  28. In my opinion, it’s more suited to men than women. It’s too sweet, with an odd sweetness. It smells nice, but reminds me of Boss Woman, which is much worse than this.

  29. Plus, it has too much musk. Something I dislike because it’s not good for your health. I try to wear perfumes that don’t contain it.
