Just received a decant. Thanks Pepe Villalobos and I have to say I gifted it to my mum because the scent seems too feminine to me. At first it smells like medicine in syrup a bit strange then it gives way to a subtle mix of milk and vanilla like a dessert. But very heavy on the feminine side.

  • Fève Délicieuse what a beauty you are. The nicest perfume smelling of a new doll in a niche version I have ever felt. Its opening is exquisite with a very subtle lavender and light touches of mint but that phase lasts only three minutes. Every minute you wear it it becomes sweeter but not a cloying sweet rather an enveloping and comforting one that makes you feel wonderfully well. I detect a toffee-style caramel mixed with one of the best tonka beans I have ever smelled and a praline that gives it a very pleasant chocolatey touch. The vanilla is one of the most beautiful and highest quality I have ever tried in my life. In its dry down it has woody notes soaked in a glass of milk… edible sometimes sweet liqueur other times… but it is a scent that does not let you go unnoticed it is magnificent. I am happy to have it.

  • Review of the first version (Dior is restructuring its Privée line). The brand wanted to recreate the sweet/bitter duality of the tonka bean and in my view they succeed; the scent oscillates between sweet nuances and darker more serious ones. It reminds me a bit of Bvlgari Man Black Essence for that dark cocoa touch (one of my favourite notes in this Dior) and also of Pure Tonka with that mint-lavanda opening and subsequent gourmand development. Perhaps this Dior is superior although it costs three times as much. At first it is lively and tonic (fresh) before drying down to a warmer scent. The cherries (liqueur) mint and touch of freesia bring the opening to life; then the leather and woods make the scent heavier. Throughout the development the tonka and cocoa are present although for me the caramel vanilla or benzoin are not as predominant. With so many declared sweet notes I feared it would be cloying but it is well balanced. Due to its character perhaps it is not for daily use and given the price it is difficult to recommend for all budgets (better to split the large bottle) but without a doubt it is a good perfume. High performance in longevity and potency.

After comparing the masterpieces Tobacco Vanille by Tom Ford and Vanille Insensée by Atelier Cologne with Fève Délicieuse by Christian Dior the latter simply smells like a freshly unpacked Doctor Johnson dildo. That is why I believe Fève Délicieuse takes third place Tobacco Vanille second and Vanille Insensée first. Given that the Tom Ford needs a Royal Oud by Creed atomisation for its optimisation.

  • A sweet fragrance with endless longevity… The tonka bean in its purest form an incredible aroma. It is a masterpiece by Dior. But beware it is too sweet caramelised and can be quite suffocating if you don’t know how to tame it well.

  • I’d heard nothing but praise for this fragrance and, being a gourmand addict, I was expecting something fresh. Well, gentlemen, total disappointment… It smells lovely and boasts brutal projection and longevity, among the best I’ve encountered. But is it original? Not in the slightest. That praline-chocolate, tonka bean, and vanilla scent is instantly recognisable. While the tonka bean is delightful and dominant, last year saw countless similar releases with that extreme dessert-like sweetness… It’s the least I’ve liked from Dior’s Private Line, which boasts genuine gems; this is the least original. If you want to smell of super-sweet tonka bean and vanilla all day and don’t mind paying the price, you might enjoy it. In my opinion, it’s cloyingly sweet, hardly novel, with similar designer fragrances available, making it the least interesting in the line. It must be worn with great moderation as it has nuclear potency.

  • He heard nothing but praise and as a gourmand addict I was expecting a revolutionary find. Spoiler: total disappointment. It smells great and has brutal projection and longevity among the best I’ve tried. But is it original? Not in the slightest. That praline with chocolate tonka bean and vanilla is such a recognisable scent that dozens of similar things have been released this year. They wanted to smell like a dessert with that extreme sweetness but there were better options on the market. It is the least interesting jewel in the Dior Privée line; there are genuine pearls in the collection but this is the least original. If you want to smell of super-sweet tonka bean and vanilla all day with a nuclear trail and don’t mind paying the price you might like it. In my opinion it’s cloying unoriginal and the least interesting of the collection. Use it with great moderation; it has atomic potency.

  • Today I was able to try this perfume thanks to a decant sent to me. I will be very brief: it is a clear copy of Shalimar Parfum Initial. Identical. End of story.

  • I liked it at the 8th hour. Something curious happened to me: I expected chocolate and spent about 5 hours smelling bergamot with sour cherry… I felt disappointed… and then, when I forgot what I had put on, I felt a chocolatey scent that I searched for until I realised my Feve Delicieuse had come back to life in a totally different and spectacular way.

I love it! It resembles L by Lolita a lot, it smells great and lasts a very long time on the skin. I will definitely repurchase.

  • I still don’t know if I like it or not, but for now I can’t stop smelling my arm. It’s addictive, a scent that although you don’t know if you like it or not, you need to smell it constantly; I hadn’t experienced this with any perfume before. It’s incredible the number of notes perceived, but all perfectly well assembled. I think it has incredible longevity and sillage.

  • My first impression is a plastic, dark scent, very reminiscent of car tyres (which usually overwhelms me and causes nausea), with a slight powdery note and something sweet. I thought it was my own nose as I detected no cocoa, as many mention. It has a curious aroma: it opens with a citrus note that is disorienting, then develops in a very interesting way.

  • This fragrance is so particular: a powdery cocoa scent, that’s my general impression… you can also feel the tonka bean, the sandalwood… a bit of lavender at the opening… but what remains on the skin and you smell over the hours is raw, powdery cocoa. I recommend trying it before buying; it’s not for everyone.

  • My first impression is a plastic smell, dark plastic, very similar to rubber (this smell usually overwhelms me and causes nausea) with a slight powdery note and something sweet. I thought it was my sense of smell since I didn’t detect any cocoa as many mention. It has a curious aroma; it opens with a citrus that distracts you and develops in a very interesting way.

Seeing this perfume featured in many gourmand recommendation videos I was encouraged to order a sample. It was not love at first sniff nor the second nor the third… It was not what I expected. It took me months to start appreciating it and to this day it still hasn’t gone crazy for me. Fève Délicieuse has a spicy balsamic and aromatic opening. The sour cherry and above all the lavender predominate on my skin all the time. In the dry down we have a wonderful sweet and powdery tonka bean that mixes harmoniously with the vanilla with creamy touches of caramel benzoin and chocolate. I do not perceive the coconut or the flowers. I don’t know if it is the leather the mix of notes or what but it reminds me of talcum powder with something plastic I don’t know it doesn’t convince me I can’t help it. On my skin it flirts with the gourmand but never fully commits; despite having sweet notes and very gourmand nuances no dessert comes to mind for me as it does with others. Perhaps that is my problem I expected something more edible and the lavender ruins it for me. Very warm elegant and unisex. The trail is low and the longevity is high about 7 hours on me while other members of my family find it lasts several hours longer. I would not buy it for myself but a family member fell in love with it. The most amazing thing is that he usually does not wear perfumes and likes fresh and clean scents. He has one from Loewe Calvin Klein Dolce Gabbana and a couple from Zara. So when he told me he wanted this I was stunned. So these Christmas holidays I managed to get a 40ml bottle. I love how it smells on his skin; in fact thanks to him I can put it in ‘likes’ because if it were up to me I’m not sure it would be there.

  • I managed to get a sample and I get the impression it is 80% similar to Naxos by Xerjoff; I don’t know if it’s me or if others experience this too. The scent is pleasant; however, I expected something different that I had never smelled before, but that wasn’t the case. Note, I’m not saying it smells bad, as I really like the Naxos accord, but I expected something else.

It doesn’t resemble A*Men Pure Tonka, L’homme Ideal EDP, Back to Black by Kilian, or Tobacco Vanille. I wonder if those who have heard of it have actually smelled the others, because I own all of them, use them frequently and know them well, and they don’t even share a breath with Feve Delicieuse. I was disappointed: based on its notes, I expected it to be sweet, but it smells of tonka bean and vanilla with cocoa, yet it isn’t gourmand; it’s a spiced oriental scent. The aroma is weak and basic and doesn’t cost what it should, honestly, no matter how Dior it is. Its sillage is extremely low and the longevity is a mere whisper. Perhaps my bottle was a super reformulated batch, because otherwise, I don’t understand the hype it has.

I have millilitres of this gem and it is a delight. Nowadays, tastes are breaking genres: if you don’t fancy cherry or lavender, don’t bother, it’s complex on my skin. Dark chocolate comes out later. It starts strong with mint, lavender, leather and cherry, then becomes warm and creamy, my favourite part. Now I understand why people say it resembles Shalimar Tonka and BTB by Killian. I own both and they follow the same vibe without being dupes, each with its own nuance… but if Feve were to make flankers (as they usually do), it would be Feve Delicieuse Tonka and Feve Delicieuse Tabaco, and then I’d say they are flankers. It lasts me a long time, but I agree with several comments: it’s not worth its price, and if you’re looking for a pure gourmand, go for Dolce Passione instead; that’s where you’ll find well-made cherry and chocolate that is wearable. If you have the chance to try Frenetic by Emir, that is undoubtedly a good dupe.
