With the oud-rose combo, one would expect something familiar, but here the rose feels a bit dry rather than fresh, giving it a curious twist. The oud is potent yet not animalic, and paired with creamy sandalwood and guaiac wood, it creates a unique character. The rose lasts the entire time, gaining clean and vanilla-like notes, though the vanilla sounds a little synthetic. Projection is beastly, filling the room, so be careful with the sprays. Lasts easily 12 hours. Not for everyone, and don’t buy blindly; only if you truly love rose and oud.
With Alujain by Kajal, one must know it’s not easy for beginners. It starts with a wild oud and an amber that barely let a faint rose show. Over time, everything flips: the rose becomes the star, leaving the oud and softer amber behind. It accompanies you brilliantly for 10 to 12 hours. Longevity: 10/12. Projection: beastly for 2 hours (then moderate and elegant). Wear it in autumn or winter: outdoor party (5 sprays) or dinner (2 sprays).
This is the most unpleasant rose-oud combo in our collection. A cheap rose that smells like a cemetery, exactly the kind of scent that pushes people away. My partner, who adores rose, got nauseous from it. The blend is unbalanced, almost maddening. By far the worst from this house. Better try other perfumes from the brand.
