I tried it with no expectations and it actually amused me. Morgan is that mid-range French brand, similar to what Don Algodón or Naf Naf used to be but in a 2000s version—the typical label that pops up and rushes to expand with perfumes, watches, and cases. In the end, due to an inconsistent base, they only manage to blur the brand’s image and turn it into nothing. Years ago, back in 2003, they launched an unbearable reddish perfume, very much in the style of the time: intrusive, strident, ambered, and shrill; that’s where my story with them ended. Recently, expecting to be overcharged, I picked a tester at random and indeed, it looks frighteningly cheap, from a bottle that looks like it’s from Primark to a name that says nothing and clashes with the golden packaging. It’s a soulless product. I tried it hoping for the millionth cotton-candy creation and weird flavours like Repetto or Coach, and well, no, it gave me a twinge. White is a perfect impersonator of Marc Jacobs Daisy and Estée Lauder Pleasures, with hints of Valentina. As you might imagine: from Daisy, the violet and a cold, pleasant strawberry; from Pleasures, the rest of the clean floral, musky, and soapy notes; and from Valentina, flowers and strawberry without sweetness, with cold wood. That’s about it… green florals and musk, a feminine laundry note with overcharged cleanliness accords and a delicious woody-violet trail in the base, where I feel it as unisex. It doesn’t discover anything or add much, but it’s pleasant to smell. PS: If you’re a user who knows no one and feels chosen with an exquisite palate, this will seem like rubbish to you. If you’re normal, without prejudice, looking for a good scent in this broad range for twenty or thirty euros, it’s worth it. PS II: It lasts longer than Daisy, which is worth noting given that Jacobs barely lasts half a breath.
