CK All by Calvin Klein

An excellent unisex perfume, well-citrusy and fresh. What a pity it doesn’t last long. I’m keen to try CK One Essence; from what I read, it’s the same but more intense and long-lasting.

Very unisex, with citrus and floral notes like grapefruit blossom, bergamot, mandarin, jasmine, freesia and musk. It results in a fresh and balanced perfume for everyone.

I bought it blind and on first use it gave me a bitter scratch on my throat. I let it rest and used it again on a rainy day: that’s when the flowers came out. It became my favourite fresh scent and I can’t imagine rain without it now.

I’m surprised by all the hate (at least here). To my nose, it smells of well-sweet citrus (highlighting the mandarin) competing with white flowers (jasmine). It doesn’t smell synthetic or bother anyone; it’s clean, innocent and unisex. It makes me feel fresh, relaxed and happy. The longevity is weak, about 4-5 hours, with little projection, but for the price it’s fine (it’s cheaper in shops than in department stores).

It’s citrusy and evolves from lemon to orange with a very prominent jasmine. Buy it blind without regrets; quite the opposite. Recommended for those seeking citrus with that clean soap scent.

I love it; I’d buy it again without a doubt. It smells like tangerine infusion with white flowers, perhaps a creamy touch, very clean. For the price, the longevity is decent: about 4 hours of trail and then another 2 hours close to the skin. It’s not particularly feminine; if you like to smell clean, anyone can wear it. PS: Nothing to do with the 2021 version; I have both and prefer CK All by far. The 2021 one smells like peach shampoo.

I bought it blind and, once again, I’d buy it again. I love wearing it straight after a shower, spraying it all over my body and then putting on my pyjamas.

White flowers, lasts quite a while. I think it leans more towards the feminine side. Pleasant.

UNISEX FLOWER SHOP: I bought it two years ago, applied it five times, and then gifted it to my wife because it was too floral for me. Yes, it’s unisex and has a very marked citrus note at the start with notable freshness and a typical sweetness of tangerine trees. After a few minutes, the floral notes take over, especially the jasmine, and the citrus sensation fades. Then a light vetiver is noticeable, not the Guerlain one, but a watery one like Armani Prive. It works very well in temperate climates. You can tell it’s the base of CK Everyone, a fresher update of All with the DNA of CK One. Excellent option for spring, informal, fruity, and cheerful. If you like unisex scents and the legendary CK One, this could complement your taste. Recommended sprays: 5 to 8. Fixative: 8. Trail: Light. Intensity: Medium.

Despite being unisex, I consider it more feminine, perhaps due to those floral notes that cocoon you. I bought it blind thinking it would be similar but more long-lasting than CK One, but I can’t find any similarities. For me, CK All is more feminine. At first, there are citrus notes, then after 30 minutes they become faint and give way to flowers and powdery notes until drying out at 6 hours. The trail is moderate and the longevity is about 4 hours. I get a vibe of 90s floral soaps. I used it a couple of times and then sold it; it didn’t work for me.

EDITED. Two years after my first review, I bought it again and… I can’t stand it. It smells like a jumble of sour oranges with a touch of ambroxan. It’s insidious, acidic, sharp, and has that tropical orange tone that makes the hair on my neck stand up. I was prepared for it not to be good because Calvin Klein colognes are already a joke (how many do they release a year, eighty?), but honestly, it seemed pleasant at first. The opening is like CK One but sweetened with citrus skin and a hint of white flowers. The heart is powdery citrus and floral, very summery, sitting atop the classic white tee scent of the original. Once the blast passes, a bearable, creamy tangerine takes over, nothing too heavy. Finally, the grapefruit flower enters; it’s like grapefruit but with a tender wood flavour, a citrus note slightly bitter/spicy as only fruit tree flowers can be, with nuances of shower gel and foam, not soap. In the end, this note along with the bergamot have an excessive presence and might place CK All more on a man’s skin than a woman’s. It’s a harmless, family-friendly perfume I’d use in spring without issues. (By the way: I also smell one of those dynamic, clean industrial musks, characteristic of laundromats and some popular body milks).

The opening is like CK One but sweetened with citrus peel and a touch of white flowers. The dry down is a very summery citrus-floral mix over the classic white t-shirt scent of the original. As the blast passes, a bearable, creamy, and not cloying tangerine predominates. Finally, the grapefruit flower enters, which is like grapefruit but with the taste of tender fruit-tree wood, a citrus note, slightly bitter/spicy as only tree flowers can be, with nuances of shower gel and foam, not soap. In the end, this note has an excessive prominence along with the bergamot, which can place CK All more on a man’s skin than a woman’s. A harmless and familiar perfume I’d use in spring without problems. (I forgot to add that I also smell like one of those industrial musks, dynamic and clean, characteristic of laundry centres and some popular body milks).

Good feeling. It’s pleasant and clean, sharing that sense of tidiness of Lacoste Blanc, but it’s not the same. It offers a good relaxing experience; it smells like Nivea cream with citrus, some moments bitter and others sweet. It reminds me of my childhood, those scraped knees from running… and not lacking the Nivea cream my mother would rub on them. This All brought back good memories. Note: It doesn’t resemble CK One at all. I like them equally, both CK All and CK One.

Bought this at half price for 200ml after seeing good reviews on YouTube, but I was let down. It starts with very light, creamy mandarin and bergamot, a shy opening that disappears in minutes. Then comes the floral heart, very feminine with lily of the valley and freesia. After an hour, it becomes unisex, like a creamy soap and a clean scent, lasting more than six hours on the skin but with little sillage, only noticeable to those close by. It smells exactly like L’Occitane’s Shea Butter soap. I’ll use it as a cologne after showering for that fresh scent, not as an eau de toilette. I expected something more citrusy with better projection, like CK ONE.

I don’t usually write reviews, but this time I couldn’t keep quiet. CK All is nothing but bad. I put it on and when I got home, I washed myself with soap to get rid of it; it was irritating even up to my throat. Either this or nothing, and nothing is better.
