Very similar to Santal 33; it smells fantastic. The sandalwood and leather notes are very prominent.
A green, vegetal scent that reminds me slightly of that graphite pencil residue, but more akin to fragrances like Santal 33 and Book. It is creamy, slightly moist and opaque. Mysore sandalwood provides that creamy, moist touch, whereas common sandalwood smells smoky and African sandalwood is ‘gritty’, similar to Laudano Nero or Ajmal Santal Wood, which is the one I dislike the most. It smells the same from start to finish. Initially, the trail was between medium and low, and within two minutes it had settled right up against the skin. I bought it blind and was disappointed, not so much by the scent itself, but by its poor longevity. It reminds me greatly of Montagne de Graphite: a trail almost right up against the skin from the start, yet lasting ten hours. It is semi-formal, suitable for intermediate seasons, neither too hot nor too cold, given its scent profile and low projection. I recommend trying it before purchasing.
