Killer Queen by Katy Perry

Smells like strawberries with chocolate, very elegant for a celebrity scent. It’s a sober chocolate, not a cupcake. It evokes her concept: a strong and mysterious woman. It was my perfume for special occasions.

I bought it because I heard my sister-in-law wearing it from 4-5 metres away; my mum and I looked at each other wondering what smelled like chocolate and bonbons… exquisite! But on me, it doesn’t smell the same: at first it’s rich and sweet, but after 20 minutes it becomes flat and boring (and zero longevity).

A blind buy and a disappointment 🙁 I didn’t like it at all. I don’t know what’s in the nose of those who say it resembles Flowerbomb; there’s nothing alike.

It does remind me of the old Estelle Belle in its final phase (but without its longevity or trail). It’s woody and lovely for a celebrity scent, stepping out of the ordinary. But it lacks intensity and longevity.

If you like sweet perfumes, it’s a good option; it has something of the female Vie Estelle by Lancôme, ideal for cold days. Bear in mind that the longevity isn’t the best and the packaging is very awkward because it has no base to stand it upright or place it down.

Killer Queen is a sweet and woody, gourmand and neutral perfume. It doesn’t seem childish nor sophisticated, but it has character. I enjoy it much in winter, with good performance and moderate trail. Who will like it: lovers of praliné.

Killer Queen by Katy Perry: a celebrity perfume with lots of personality. I was surprised by the scent; I didn’t expect the typical tooth-rotting gourmand and it’s not much better. It’s sweet but fresh, even it seems high-end due to its packaging, the little bottle in diamond shape with golden crown details. The quality isn’t the best in longevity or projection; for the first hour it’s felt and receives praise, but afterwards it drops until it stays right on the skin. Perfect for short outings or daily wear. I recommend it heaps.

I love it, lasts well in cold climates for about 6 hours and projects well; in heat it lasts nothing, not even 3 hours and doesn’t project much. It smells delicious and its bottle need not be said to be beautiful, it leaves a trail, it seems similar to me, it’s not that it’s equal to La Vie Est Belle.

Sweet and fruity perfume for cold days or nights, I liked it a lot because it offers more than it costs, it doesn’t seem like a celebrity perfume. On my skin it smells very sensual with its red berries and has a touch of dark tinge. Fortunately I bought the tester for about 10 dollars and I don’t regret it at all. It’s extremely delicious.

I bought it blindly, I couldn’t resist its laughable price, 11,000 Chilean pesos (15 dollars) and when I received it my reaction was type… WOW, this isn’t what I expected… and likewise, I fell in love. Killer Queen is very pretty, and it’s pretty due to its convenient price, its lovely bottle and because it doesn’t seem like a celebrity perfume, not at all. It moves away from all sugar bombs, here I feel liquor, berries and humidity… delicious, warm, sensual and intimate, once fixed on the skin it mixes in a super natural and appetising way, leaving a sweet woody scent right on the skin and I think only then can I recognise the praline. It’s beautiful. It’s recommended for autumn and winter in cold climates and not humid, my country is temperate and I’m using it on the freshest days of summer or the nights… it works super well. Finally, try it if you can! And also say that I don’t find it resembles La Vie Est Belle… I find no common point, this is much more creamy and soft and definitely less sugary, as for Flowerbomb, I don’t know, I don’t know it.

I bought this blindly in summer and it was a mistake, but on cool days or when it’s raining, it’s a total delight. It smells expensive yet is cheap; I absolutely love wearing it on cloudy days. At first, you only catch the bergamot, then the red fruits explode with patchouli (not overpowering) and praline. As it dries down, there’s a woody yet creamy touch. It’s a far cry from typical celebrity perfumes. My son adores it; he says it smells like a chocolate factory and he’s right, though if he didn’t declare it, it would smell like chocolate liqueur. The longevity is brutal, lasting around 10 hours on skin and clothes, with good projection and trail.

Very heavy, somewhat similar to La Vie Est Belle, but if the mother doesn’t like it, the daughter certainly won’t either. The longevity is moderate to high on my skin, even though I don’t like it. None of my friends approved of it, so it was hard for me to part with or sell it. Finally, I’ve moved on.

I’m glad to see so many reviews because I feel he isn’t talked about enough. To me, it’s a cheap perfume that smells expensive, nothing simple like a celebrity scent. At first, I notice the bergamot (not too strong) with patchouli (not invasive) and praline harmonising with ripe red fruits and cashmere. From the start, it’s sweet because the praline isn’t discreet. In the heart, sambac jasmine and celosia appear as the bergamot fades and the cashmere rises. The base leaves that darkened floral surrounded by ripe berry fruits and the sweetness of praline, all wrapped in cashmere with a very harmonious patchouli. It’s a warm fragrance, with attitude, sensual and mysterious.

I bought it blindly and got it right. I let myself be guided by the reviews and it was the correct choice. I didn’t think it would be so similar to Flowerbomb, but it is, with the quality of a celebrity perfume. Recommended!

Many compare it to La Vie Est Belle, Flowerbomb or Bonbon, but the one it resembles most is the Flowerbomb by Viktor & Rolf. It has an excellent trail at the start, you can feel it a few metres away, but it gradually fades until it becomes discreet; only those who get close will smell it. The longevity is very good, which can be confusing: as it loses its trail, it gives the sensation of not wearing perfume at all. The sweetness of Killer Queen is like having dark rum gummy bears, but it still smells like perfume. I love it. The bottle is incredible: thick glass, details on the cap, everything very well executed to be a celebrity scent, giving a designer feel (be careful with the cap plaque, it’s fragile).
