Royal Revolution smells like a fresh floral scent with a sweet, youthful twist 💙👑. Upon spraying, you catch that freshness accompanied by a light sweetness that gives it a playful vibe. The fruits complement it perfectly, and although blueberry isn’t listed in the official notes, I detect a juicy, fun blueberry nuance. It’s not overpowering, ideal for everyday wear. The trail is discreet, enough to be noticed without being overwhelming. On my skin, it lasts 3-4 hours; it needs reapplication, though it lingers longer on clothes. Accessible price, perfect if you’re looking for something fresh and fruity/floral. If you’re a Katy Perry fan, it deserves a spot. It’s not long-lasting, but its light character makes it ideal for warm days. My rating: 8.5/10

I experience the same thing with other celebrity fragrances: they all smell like a flanker of ‘Viva la Juicy’. It’s pleasant, fresh, and subtly sweet, but very generic.

I picked it up at a good price and bought it blind, hoping it would be as rich as Killer Queen, my first perfume. I hate it; it feels cheap and artificial, it doesn’t say anything to me when I smell it, it’s just a simple ‘meh’. It doesn’t smell of sandalwood at all, just a very artificial and watery fruity note. I wouldn’t buy it again, I feel it’s not worth it, there are better options. Also, its longevity is extremely poor.

I bought it blind for the price, hoping it would be as good as my first Killer Queen. I hate it; it smells cheap and artificial, it tells me nothing, it’s a ‘meh’. I don’t detect sandalwood, just an artificial, watery fruit. I wouldn’t recommend it; there are better options and its longevity is very scarce.

  5. I bought it blind a year ago for a good price and loved it when I tried it. It’s super sweet but fruity/floral, far from the cloying gourmand or intense vanilla. It has an almost aquatic freshness, not citrus. It’s cheerful, youthful, ideal for teenagers or my 26 years, versatile for day, spring/summer. Soft trail, 1.5h projection, lasts 4-5h (not great for EDP, but since it’s economical, it’s a joy to reapply). Scent 9/10, worth it despite the longevity. The problem is it’s discontinued and hard to find in Argentina. Does anyone know a similar one?

  6. What a lovely fragrance, it smells tender and youthful. It leaves a super soft, clean trail, like those grape-flavoured lozenges, without the strong menthol. I recommend it for acceptable longevity close to the skin, for personal enjoyment without pretensions 🥰. It was sent to me by mistake, but for the price, I’d buy it again.

  7. I won’t lie, I bought it for the beautiful bottle for my wicca corner, it has a medieval potion vibe. It’s a rich, sweet, and juicy scent, but not overwhelming. A touch of vanilla appears quickly, reminiscent of Jeanne Arthes’ Boum Vainille. It’s soft, close to the skin, with little trail. I don’t feel much evolution; it stays the same for hours. Here, due to the dollar, everything imported is expensive. I think the star is the bottle more than the perfume. The packaging has me hooked.

I was surprised, and for the better! The bad reviews discouraged me, but surprise! It’s super pleasant. I didn’t smell anything old, rancid, or talcum-like, just shy flowers and sloe, perhaps pomegranate. It’s lovely, soft, subtly sweet. At first, I remembered Killer Queen for that touch of ‘dampness’, but Royal Revolution is cleaner, almost like hair gel, softer and more harmless. If Killer Queen feels too strong for you, try this one with its dampness and freshness. Don’t let yourself be swayed by the negative comments; it’s not that terrible 😁

Its opening reminds me of the original Viva la Juicy and Glacé. It’s sweet and very soft. Longevity is the only downside; it lasts a short time, close to the skin. I recommend it if you like sweet, soft scents without much projection. It’s lovely, but there are similar ones with better projection.

  10. The bottle is gorgeous; flashy flacons always tempt me. The opening shocked me at first, a strong, half-artificial sweet pomegranate, like jam, but it calms down with fresh freesia and then the dry, powdery orchid. I like it more and more over time; the leather note comes through. Soft trail but I can smell the perfume. Lasts 5h on skin, satisfied with the price. Very pleasant for everyday wear. It doesn’t smell like royalty nor is it revolutionary; it’s easy to wear (I don’t recommend buying blind). It doesn’t make me think of historical royalty, but rather the Sweet Princess from Adventure Time or the rebellious princesses of She-Ra. It reminds me of fashion animation: clear lines, soft shapes, flat and cheerful colours. I imagine this perfume in those virtual worlds. As an illustrator, now that I associate it with that, I love it haha

  11. The bottle is gorgeous; I love how it looks. At first, that sweet-sour pomegranate hit me a bit hard, almost like jam, but it soon settled into a fresher freesia, followed by the orchid which adds a dry, talc-like touch. I’ve been enjoying it more the longer I wear it, especially once the leather notes start to emerge. The trail is soft yet noticeable all day. It lasts about five hours on my skin, and given the price I paid, I’m very pleased. It’s perfect for everyday wear. You’re right; it doesn’t smell regal or revolutionary; it’s easy to wear (though I wouldn’t buy it blindly). It doesn’t evoke historical royalty or fairy tales, but rather the Sweet Princess from Adventure Time or the rebellious princesses from the new She-Ra. It reminds me of that youthful, harmless fantasy filled with hope, with that trendy animation style: clear lines, soft shapes, stylised forms, and flat, bright, cheerful colours. I can picture it in those virtual worlds. Conclusion: as an illustrator, associating it with that has made me love it even more, haha.

The bottle is a charm, the colour too. I tried it in a perfumery and it was simply nauseating. I’d say it smells enclosed, old, and burnt. I didn’t know how to get it off my wrist; I let my dad smell it, he said ‘oh’ and frowned. That was the opening; the scent faded quickly, so I couldn’t examine the heart or base notes. It’s for a specific taste; I don’t recommend buying blind. I feel bad because the bottle is just beautiful 🙁

My mother-in-law gave this to me and I absolutely hate it; it smells like cheap talcum powder. The bottle is pretty, but my friends use it because I detest it; it’s very strong and leaves a trail on clothes. It works in spring, but it’s suffocating in summer and looks poor in winter. It’s super youthful, aimed at pre-teens, with a dry, sweet, talcum-like scent that is very artificial.

I have a decant mixed with the discontinued Amó Chamego by Natura (full of spices, cinnamon, pink pepper, and sandalwood). They blend beautifully together. The result is a spiced floral with the sweetness of Royal Revolution perfectly balanced. Spraying it is a delicious explosion of vibrant colour.

I like it for its sweet, fruity, and light aroma. I love it for work and daily wear; it’s perfect for all seasons. The scent is long-lasting and soft; I’ve received many compliments at home and in the office. The bottle is very pretty. I haven’t had it for months, but I plan to buy it again.

Royal Revolution has a charming packaging: a blue diamond shape with a crown cap, which is brilliant. It smells overly sweet of blackberries and pomegranate juice, with a cotton candy base that is barely noticeable. It’s good, but its potency is more like a body mist, very similar to Pink Chiffon by Bath & Body Works with similar longevity. It’s pleasant but stays close to the skin. It’s calming to me, not for special occasions but for daily use in any season. It would suit women aged 15 to 35.

I love Royal Revolution. It’s floral and slightly fruity with a pleasant sweetness. It doesn’t resemble Killer Queen, which I also like. In RR, the top notes are red pomegranate and pink freesia, giving gourmand notes. The jasmine and orange blossom are enriched with sandalwood in the heart; the base features orchid, delicious vanilla, leather, and musk in an unexpected harmony. I really like its liquor note. On my skin it lasts four hours, so I carry the small bottle in my bag to reapply. The trail is moderate; it’s fun and rich like a dessert, a warm aroma that envelops, comforts, and cheers me up. It belongs to the Floral Fruity family. I like it for cold mornings and afternoons, lasting about four hours with a moderate trail. The bottle is a jewel.

  18. It smells super fresh and youthful; it’s identical to Katy Perry’s Purr, so if I have both, I don’t know if it smells bad or if it’s just too much perfume.

  19. Upon trying it, I noticed soft notes of mango and peach as Belle Garçonne mentioned. I think the blend of pomegranate, cherry, freesia, and sandalwood gives it that special touch. What I love most is the final phase, where sandalwood and leather create a fruity, powdery, matured aroma with a liquorish note, like sun-dried fruits, almost smelling of prunes. The name reflects nothing of the perfume, although it is very meticulous and subtly off-putting at the same time. Its development is neither typical nor predictable, which I like, without being too easy to smell. The trail is medium to short (I notice it myself) and lasts about five hours. I’m very selective with sweet perfumes, but this is one of my favourites. Even my boyfriend, who doesn’t like sweets, complimented it after two hours.

  20. On my first try, I loved finding those soft hints of mango and peach that Belle Garç mentioned. I suppose it’s the blend of pomegranate, juniper, freesia and sandalwood that gives it that character. What I like most is the mid-to-final phase, where that dry profile from the sandalwood and leather takes over; it’s a fruity yet powdery scent, how shall I put it? matured and slightly boozy. It doesn’t smell like fruit juice, but rather delicately sun-dried fruits, almost with that little smell of a bag of raisins. I agree that the name says nothing about what the perfume actually is, though it is very meticulous and subtly off-putting at the same time. Its development isn’t typical or predictable, which I like, even though it doesn’t stray far from being ‘easy to smell and wear’. The trail is medium-to-short (I can still smell it on myself after wearing it) and the longevity is around five hours. I’m quite selective with sweet perfumes, but this is one of my favourites. Even my boyfriend, who isn’t a fan of sweet scents, complimented it after I’d been wearing it for about two hours.

I’m delighted to find Katy Perry proposals that suit my nose; Royal Revolution smells the same from start to finish, starting with a fresh and appetising pomegranate, then quickly passing through flowers like freesia, jasmine, neroli, and orchid, but soon they fade leaving only the orchid with the pomegranate. Immediately, the cherry, a little leather, sandalwood, and musk enter. When mixed, they leave the pomegranate, cherry, orchid, and leather reigning. For me, it’s a floral fruity perfume resting on sandalwood with a soft sweet touch. I don’t feel it’s so feminine, but it has a lot of character, its own personality, and a certain opulence. I insist, I like Royal Revolution with all its simplicity; the problem is that its trail and longevity are soft.

I’m delighted to find Katy Perry proposals that I enjoy. Royal Revolution is a 2014 flanker of Killer Queen aiming for a different perspective than its younger sibling. Its blue diamond bottle evokes ‘eternal royalty’. The star ingredient is medlar, a European shrub with blue fruits that smell like blackcurrants and have a bad reputation in mythology as the witch’s tree; curiously, it’s the only fragrance on Fragrantica with this note. On the skin, it starts explosively and sticky with pomegranate and a blurry freesia base (like blackberry jam). It then moves through an almost imperceptible heart of white flowers, where you might just catch a whiff of jasmine. Finally, it bursts into medlar and orchid, creating dark, tart fruity chords. Sometimes it vaguely reminds me of Calvin Klein’s Euphoria, but soon the leather appears, giving it a scruffy edge that takes it away from the frivolous, leaning it towards animal or fruity leather families. Far from being revolutionary, it’s a fragrance that grits its teeth to avoid banality, although its trail and longevity are disappointing. It’s not bad, but it’s not a great revolution.

My biggest disappointment: it smelled weakly of peach and mango on my skin and lasted less than an hour before disappearing. I thought it was a clone. I gifted it to someone and it lasted a bit longer on them, but it’s very subtle and goes unnoticed. I would never buy it again.
