Taurien
Luxuriant is a super spicy, woody and warm fragrance. The opening with cinnamon and ginger is intense and rich. Then, without fading, a sweet floral note emerges through orange blossom and ylang-ylang, but it’s very timid, hidden behind the woods that dominate the blend. These woods smell creamy, sweet and slightly herbal. The projection is moderate and lasts about 6-7 hours on my skin. It’s totally unisex and perfect for cold weather; it makes me feel cosy. It has such a strong woody note that it almost smells like a fireplace, as if there’s a smoky nuance. From the first day I thought I’d smelled it before. After thinking about it for a while, I identified it: it’s Ebony Wood by Jo Malone for Zara. Both go in the same line, although the Zara version is more linear, with fewer nuances and a more marked soapy touch. As Ebony Wood is a fragrance I also love, it has better sillage and longevity, and costs much less, so I’m definitely sticking with Zara’s proposal. Luxuriant is basically a luxury fragrance. The sweet and woody notes predominate, with a creamy elegant chypre base and an almost gourmand spicy touch of cinnamon and ginger. The heart is floral, combining my three favourite flowers: ylang-ylang, orange blossom and neroli. This gives it great strength and personality. Its performance is moderate; on my skin it lasts about six hours with a soft projection, ideal for the day or for taking to work. It’s also brilliant for close-range wear because it smells incredibly sensual. In summary, it surprises, doesn’t bore and will probably please almost everyone. Scent: 10 Longevity: 7 Projection: 5 Versatility: 9 Originality: 10 Value for money: 8 Overall: 9.5

Luxuriant is a super rich fragrance. It’s mainly sweet and woody, with a creamy elegant chypre base and an almost gourmand spicy touch centred on cinnamon and ginger. Its heart is floral, blending three of my favourite flowers: ylang-ylang, orange blossom and neroli. This gives it great strength and personality. The performance is moderate; on my skin it lasts about six hours with a soft projection, ideal for daily wear or taking to work. It’s also brilliant for close-range wear because it smells incredibly sensual. In short, it surprises, doesn’t bore and will probably please most people.
