Kaiak Vital by Natura

A super soft unisex fragrance that reminds me of celery.

My mum gave it to me and I use it daily for training; it’s perfect for spring/summer/autumn as the citrus opening wakes you up. The dry down is sweet but soft, not cloying. I recommend it for training, not for my everyday wear.

My mum owns it. It’s not ugly, but it smells like marine notes mixed with something bitter. I think it’s unisex.

Liked it; it’s fresh and aquatic, perfect for summer. On my skin, it reminded me of Del Pozo’s Halloween. It’s cheerful and vital, as its name suggests, but now I do have to reapply every three hours as it doesn’t last long… Ideal for summer and feeling fresh.

It’s a fresh body splash, not sweet at all, with a soapy or shampoo-like scent. The downside is it lasts a maximum of two hours, even on clothes in cool weather. The projection is terrible, but it’s a wonderful fragrance—fresh and pleasant.

Kaiak Vital is a summer scent. I’m a lover of sweet gourmands, but with 45-degree summers here, they’re not an option. I don’t like citrus, but this paired well with my skin; it’s wearable, not invasive, and smells clean and soapy. Perfect for hot days, I get compliments and feel fresh. I do recommend it, but not for special occasions.

It gave me an allergy and I find it not fresh at all… it’s sweet and floral, very soapy… it reminded me of the discomfort of smelling pitanga preta. I do like its male counterpart though.

Almost bought it blindly, but luckily I could try it first. It starts citrusy and refreshing but then becomes somewhat dry, bitter, and sharp, taking centre stage, so I didn’t like it. There’s also a hint of sweetness, but it’s very subtle and completely overshadowed. At times it was irritating and I wanted to wash my skin, but I was travelling and had to put up with it all day lol.

I almost bought it blindly but luckily I could test it first. It starts citrusy and refreshing, but then turns dry, bitter and sharp, taking over. I didn’t like it. There’s something overly sweet in the background, completely overshadowed. Every now and then it bothered me and I wanted to wash it off, but I was travelling and had to put up with it all day, haha.

I absolutely love it, just like its sibling Aero, though I find this one slightly more feminine. I adore how the citrus notes really shine through here. Those marine, greenish accords combined with the citrus definitely scream summer. It gave me the same vibe as Davidoff’s Cool Water, just like Aero does. I’m in love! It doesn’t have an exceptionally long-lasting scent, but it’s so fresh that I don’t mind reapplying at all because it feels like I’m refreshing myself again. Divine!

I was fascinated the moment I tried it. I’ve been longing for a perfume like this for a while that would suit my skin. It all started back in 2006; I was thrilled with Jesús del Pozo’s Halloween which I could smell everywhere (I’m inclined to think they’ve changed it now, it’s not what I remember), but once I tried it on my skin, even my sister said ‘mmm, that smelly thing?’. It was Halloween devastated on my chemistry. Since then I’ve been looking for a perfume with those characteristics that wouldn’t fade: a crystal clear floral with watery and fresh fruits. I tried Cool Water, but on my skin it ends up prickly and spiced, nothing like it. I tried Kaiak Aventura with high hopes, because I love the men’s version and the opening has that vibe, but once it dries down I don’t like how it ends, it loses the fruity aspect and becomes more floral, it doesn’t convince me. So when I ordered the sample of Kaiak Vital I tested it without knowing what to expect, without reviews. Based on the bottle colours I thought it might be something I could like. But I loved it! It’s exactly what I was looking for: it opens with an intense accord of watery fruits, fresh and a little prickly, completely revitalising. I crossed my fingers that it would stay like this and not fade away, and oh, what joy that several hours later I still found that watery fresh fruity tone mixed with a soft floral talc and a bit warmer than in the opening. Not a hint of a spiced sensation, a beautiful scent to associate with a mid-afternoon summer sky or those crystal clear mornings before the heat rises. I love it. I don’t think it’s a definitive innovation, it adds to the great family of semi-nineties/semi-twenty-twenties semi-aquatic fruity perfumes, but I found in it something I didn’t find in others and it made my perfumer heart happy, hehe.

I agree with the previous review; at first glance it may seem unisex (the marine notes, I suppose), but then it mutates towards a feminine side without losing the grace of freshness and cleanliness, something I appreciated as I perceived other flankers as too unisex. I loved this Kaiak, I tested it with few expectations and left pleasantly surprised. While the marine note stands out, it’s a harmonious fragrance that manages to convey summer without invading with harshness. It reminds me of Halloween but without that dark tone of Jesús del Pozo’s perfume, as if it were a light version. Recommended if you like citrus.

Good citrus presence especially the citrus leaves – like crushed lime or tangerine leaves. The salty marine notes combined with the freshness are well-defined. On my skin it feels more green than aromatic. I can also detect a very acidic pitanga which stands out; although it’s listed as woody in the pyramid it’s barely noticeable which is a good thing as I wouldn’t want it to be any more woody. I’d say it’s unisex but leans towards feminine. It’s fresh summery and perfect for the beach and sand. That said it seems to have short longevity and a soft moderate sillage.

It smells like egg whites, a super nasty scent, I don’t recommend it even for throwing it away.
