A very spicy opening, with far too dominant pepper. It’s definitely not my favourite part. That pepper rests on a bed of various woods. As it’s a tremendously evolving fragrance (like all of this woman’s), after a few minutes the vanilla comes through, very prominent, and sweetens everything. You still notice the pepper over woods, but much better worked, and together with an earthy, unctuous patchouli it achieves a spectacular dry-down. It reminds me a great deal of Hypnotising Fire by The Harmonist. If you’ve smelt it, this is 85% the same.
