The crown jewel of the brand, without a doubt. It sounds simple, and it is, but that’s its great merit: it’s not aspirational; it delivers exactly what it promises. Fresh, deep, and super versatile. It’s not very evolving; it smells the same from start to finish. Aldehydic, citrusy, and green notes, with floral and spicy undertones. Forget tobacco and leather; there’s not a trace of it. It’s a fantastic fragrance for all year round, with incredible longevity and sillage. It won’t give you a headache, but it will leave a mark on several necks. I absolutely loved it and it’s now a staple in my collection.

Without a doubt, the best of the brand. It may seem simple, but that’s where its greatness lies. It’s not aspirational; it delivers exactly what it promises: fresh, deep, and very versatile. It’s not very evolving; it smells the same from start to finish. It’s aldehydic, citrusy, and green, with floral and spicy undertones. Forget tobacco and leather; there isn’t any. It’s a fantastic fragrance for all year round with incredible longevity and sillage. It won’t blow your mind, but it will make you turn several necks. I absolutely loved it and it stays in my collection.

I find it hard to explain this scent; the quality is simply brilliant. Citrusy and mature at the start, with that soapy touch that others might mistake for aldehydes. It’s a clean, crisp soap full of nuances. Gradually the flowers emerge, and it dries down to wood and a very well-cared-for suede. It has no flaws, except the price, which is worth it for the longevity and projection. It denotes class and elegance, perfect for all year round and formal events. Absolutely brilliant.

I find it hard to define, so I’ll keep this review short. Top-tier quality. It opens citrusy, mature, and soapy; those mountain vibes come from the aldehydes. It smells like clean, crisp soap with countless nuances. It projects freshness and is aromatic; gradually floral notes emerge before drying down to wood and a very well-treated suede. Sincerely, I can’t find any fault with it. Yes, the price, but here the performance is optimal. It lasts forever and projects like a fragrance of class and elegance should. Suitable for all year round and brilliant for formal events. Absolutely brilliant.

Montabaco Intensive by Ormonde Jayne is an original fragrance of undeniable quality that evokes many things for me. To me, it smells very woody and soapy, like Dove, but with nuances reminiscent of Cartier Declaration, Vesace The Dreamer, or Creed’s SMW. The opening of mountain air is fresh and clean, without being as metallic as in others. Tea, flowers, and bergamot give it a green, creamy, and soapy touch. The base is just sandalwood and suede, which add more elegance and balance. I see it as more masculine, all-terrain in terms of time and situations, with spectacular performance. It falls into the same spectrum as Prada L’Homme: easy to wear, versatile, crisp, distinctive, and elegant. I loved discovering it, and despite the high price, it’s a fragrance to consider if you want to step up a level in this profile. Rating: 8.5/10
