Ormonde Jayne Verano is a new addition to the aromatic woody family, designed for men and women. Launched in 2025, this fragrance was created by perfumer Geza Schoen. Its olfactive pyramid unfolds with airy top notes featuring grapefruit, bergamot, juniper, statice, orange, and cardamom; a floral and earthy heart composed of tea, violet, rose, and magnolia; and a warm, textured base formed by tobacco leaf, moss, ambergris, Iso E Super, sandalwood, cashmere, suede, and tonka bean.

Top-quality ingredients and a composition that is delightful. It opens fresh and aromatic with a potent grapefruit note and a floral touch that doesn’t dominate, then settles into soft tobacco, creamy sandalwood and ambergris. Perfect for daytime, spring, summer and warm autumns. Reminds me of Tygar or Turathi Blue but with more evolution. Lasting power is fair for the price (around five hours) with short projection and trail. An elegant and sober men’s fragrance.
First-class ingredients and a blend that smells wonderful. On opening, it is fresh and aromatic: a strong grapefruit note with a floral touch that doesn’t dominate. It then descends into soft tobacco, with creamy sandalwood and ambergris in the base. Perfect for daytime, in spring, summer and hot autumns. Reminds me of Tygar or Turathi Blue, but those have a flatter evolution. The lasting power is fair for the price (around five hours) and the projection and trail are short. It is an elegant and sober men’s fragrance.
Like it, but not entirely. At first, it smells like Rosendo Mateu 1, that citrus with a dense base. However, here I detect a more oriental touch, especially up close, which doesn’t overwhelm. It is citrusy, yet with creamy and opulent nuances, something complex for those seeking easy scents, ideal for those who prefer unusual aromas or when craving something different. It’s a niche citrus with plenty of the house’s DNA, nothing simple, and I think it suits all year round, although in extreme heat it can become overwhelming.
