Smells rich, fresh and summery, in the same vein as Aqua di Gio but with a greener, fruitier twist. The banana leaf note is an olfactory joke; it smells like a dirty plant, not fruit, just like the ice or lava notes that aren’t actually there. Still, it has a special touch, comes in a nice bottle and is incredibly cheap, so it’s worth buying to wear or collect.
I was gifted this in 2003 and bought it again on Amazon in 2023. It smells just as I remember, though I’m not sure if it’s been reformulated. It lasts very little: a fresh opening with pear and banana, evolving into jasmine and fig after about three hours, finishing with an almost imperceptible woody base. I bought it for nostalgia, not performance. It’s pleasant, competing with classic Aqua di Gio or Issey Miyake, ideal for relaxing. I’d buy it again solely for the memory.
They gave it to me in 2003 and I bought it again on Amazon in 2023; the scent is as I remember it, though I’m not sure if they reformulated it. It lasts very little. The opening is fresh, with noticeable pear and banana leaf, very youthful. It evolves into jasmine and fig leaf for about three hours, finishing with a very light woody scent, almost skin-scent. I bought it more out of nostalgia than for performance. It’s pleasant and competes with an Aqua di Gio or a classic Issey in terms of freshness. I would expect a longer-lasting version with better projection. It’s fine for relaxing. I would buy it again for that sense of nostalgia.
A fragrance from the 90s, green and fruity at first, then becoming more woody and linear. Today it’s out of fashion, so I see it as an old-school classic. It’s fresh enough for summer. The longevity is fair, around 2 to 4 hours, with a short trail, but the projection is good for the first half hour and fills a room of 2 or 3 square metres well.
On my nose, the fig leaves and a hint of sweet anise stand out; little else, but it doesn’t need anything extra. It’s an honest and different perfume, neither lasting long nor projecting strongly, but it feels clean and masculine. Perfect for spring and summer. I like it. 8/10.
I started using this when I was young. I bought several bottles blindly at a shopping centre on discount, and it was a real discovery. It’s absolutely delicious; I can’t think of another way to say it. It’s a perfect floral-fruit-oriental blend with a natural, exquisite sweet touch, perhaps of cinnamon, which is intoxicating. An extraordinarily well-balanced perfume, very rich, very natural, and good value. Truly delicious. Suitable for all year round: fresh opening and slightly warm dry down. Very versatile. Scent: 10/10, Projection: 7/10, Longevity: 6/10.

This was the first fragrance I wore in my pre-teen years, back in 2000 and 2001, so it holds a special place. It has a moderate trail, lasting around four to six hours. Girls adore it and go absolutely wild for it. It is sweet, fresh, and very masculine; after a few hours, it smells wonderfully of a man. Longevity reached ten or twelve hours. It works in moderate seasons, but for me, it performs better in winter. Suitable for the office, yet it shines best in the late afternoon when night is approaching, where it truly releases its magic.
It is a light, airy scent that never becomes intrusive, with a touch of creamy warmth. Simple yet refined and harmonious, it offers medium longevity and a soft trail. Why do we spend so much on perfumes? To create an image and evoke emotions. This fragrance is pleasant, spring-like and summery, versatile, and needs to be sniffed several times to truly feel its magic. Ideal for work or informal moments, it brings freshness and cleanliness. The pear note is executed beautifully.
This is the fragrance I have loved the most. I encountered it upon leaving and purchased it five years later because, although I did not know what it smelled of, I remembered its scent: something familiar, perhaps due to the pear or banana leaf. It is fresh but not aquatic as was fashionable, nor offensive, but rather soft and kind. Clean.
I didn’t like it and expected much more after reading the reviews. It turns out to be too citrusy and herbal; I haven’t appreciated the wood that was promised.

Honestly, it is a fantastic fragrance. I am a fan of strong, persistent colognes, but one must acknowledge that Cerruti Image is very well conceived. Its scent is almost a masterpiece that dismantles the arguments of those who speak of ‘cheapness’, as its price is competitive. It is very refined in the opening and development, nothing intrusive, light yet with something special and distinguished. The base of patchouli and wood defines it as masculine. Then there is a blend of pear, plums, and musk that softens everything. I imagine the scent of a tree laden with fruit on a sunny day. It is a blessing for summer: very fresh but nothing generic. Not for those seeking heavy fragrances. Rating: 9.5.
I’m Mexican and on my skin the woods are barely noticeable; what dominates is the plum and banana peel. It’s sweet but not overpowering. The longevity is short, around three hours, with a very soft trail. After a couple of hours, it balances between woods and musk, becoming extremely soft. That’s why I consider it ideal for any occasion and weather, and I didn’t hesitate to buy another bottle; for me, it’s a staple fragrance. I disagree with other comments: I detected nothing marine or green.
At first, I found that green blend of banana leaf, pear, and plum a bit odd. After four hours, something floral became noticeable, but not jasmine; rather, it felt more like fig leaves. By seven hours, boom! The sandalwood and amber woke up with force. The dry-down is skin-close with very soft musk, patchouli, and cedar. The best part is that base I managed to isolate: a green fragrance, not sharp but with personality. Ideal for daytime in intermediate seasons. The trail is moderate and lasted over 12 hours, though the last four were only detectable skin-close.

From the Cerruti family, this is my favourite. Perhaps it isn’t the most ‘unique’, but it certainly has character. It’s green, aromatic, and features woods that smell glorious. Highly recommended given its very competitive price.
I love it so much that I’ve worn it twice already and will likely buy it again. I adore that woody touch blended with aquatic notes; it’s perfect for the office because it’s not intrusive.
