Tempting? Not in the least. Animale has never been a benchmark in perfumery; this fragrance isn’t revolutionary, but it is contemporary. The longevity is poor, lasting around three hours, and the sillage is similarly weak, yet it smells pleasant and is cheap. Animalé Intense is far superior in every way and is available at a reasonable price. It doesn’t smell bad, but I wouldn’t recommend it. 2/5
I don’t know, but it doesn’t last at all, unlike the other Animal fragrances.
As my colleague says, it’s for warm days. I wear it over unscented moisturiser to enhance it slightly and extend its trail. On my skin, it’s a citrus layer softened by musk.
It opens with citrus and cypress, with a touch of soft lavender. This phase lasts only ten or twenty minutes before softening into a clean impression of woods and spices, all aromatically gentle and skin-close. The sillage and longevity are moderate, perhaps up to six hours on the skin, so I recommend reapplying every four hours. It’s clearly summery, clean and soft. The price-to-quality ratio is fair (14 dollars for 30ml), but it doesn’t last long enough nor is it particularly novel. More suited to daytime, informal wear. It lacks the longevity, sillage and sophistication of its elder siblings: Animalé and Animalé Intense.
