A fresh fragrance, with a medium-low trail (one must remember it is a cologne) but quite acceptable. It has the characteristic of smelling very natural, reminding me of those tisanes one drinks instead of tea or coffee. It is a relaxing scent, very herbal. Recommended for any age, preferably on hot days because its scent is very fresh.
I found it very simple, like a children’s cologne; I expected something more of verbena or lemon verbena. Fortunately, I only bought a tester…
Lemon balm at its finest. Fresh, revitalising, and what surprised me most: its longevity. Of all the colognes in the 4711 line, this is the one that fixes best and leaves the most trail. I love everything about this line, but this one has a deja vu effect on me, something that transports me to another time.
I regret not the scent, which is a very pleasant lemon, but paying so much for the 4711 Acqua Colonia Melissa & Verbena 50 ml. When I later stumbled upon the Monix Verbena 220 ml and paid no more than $7, I was surprised. I can say the Monix Verbena is of excellent quality and longevity for an eau de cologne; I believe it is superior to this 4711, which lasts so little on the skin. It is a pity because it is pleasant, but regarding price and longevity, it is not good. The Monix Verbena has such a real and natural opening of lemon balm and verbena, with notes of lemon; I do not know exactly the ingredients, but here is quality at a fantastic price.
