Exquisite for autumn and winter. Dates with myrrh, sweet resins, and a light vanilla. Excellent composition, delicious, very oriental, casually elegant and a bit fun. Totally unisex. One of Lattafa’s best. Reminds me greatly of Penhaligon’s Legacy of Petra; I have them side by side and they share notes. Petra is more elegant and slightly powdery, soft yet powerful and delicious; Ajwaa is more casual and lively due to the dates, which give a fleshy, sweet sensation. Lasts about 10 hours, projects 3 metres with great intensity, and fades slowly. Leaves a sweet dry-down of dates and plums with myrrh and frankincense, which differs little from Petra. Sweet, unisex, with dates and myrrh creating a feast in that impactful fragrance. Lasts over 12 hours with a projection of more than 3 metres, only for people with strong personalities, a true luxury. I adore Lattafa; they never fail, it’s a 10. Ignore the negative reviews, always test on skin and draw your own conclusions. I’ve lost several amazing perfumes due to poorly written reviews, so please try them. And for those who don’t understand perfumery, it would be good if you didn’t confuse people. It’s fine to have an opinion, but the comparisons made in many reviews make no sense.

My worst blind buy of 2023. Come on now… This has nothing to do with Dates Delight 🤣🤣🤣 What an insult. It’s super synthetic, with a plastified licorice note… Dates?? Please. It’s undoubtedly Lattafa’s worst perfume. If it resembles anything, it’s Montale’s Arabians Tonka. Absolute rubbish. The relief was taking it off on Vinted.

Perfect for going out at night or dates, but not for hot weather. It smells lovely on the skin and even better on clothes. Unisex and very well balanced. I’d recommend trying it before buying. Goes great with casual or semi-formal outfits. I absolutely love it.

The dates last only five minutes before the myrrh and frankincense take over, especially the latter, which starts to become overwhelming. It smells like when palo santo is lit in craft shops or incense is burned in chapels. A perfume for priests.

The bottle is stunning—a date palm from the Middle East that brings together everything I love: frankincense, myrrh, and dates. It has the same vibe (though not identical) as Lattafa’s Khamrah and Zara’s Ebony Wood, which are also my favourites.

The opening smells exactly like my mother’s classic depilatory wax from the 90s. It’s a strange scent, but the dry-down is addictive… I still haven’t dared to wear it outside the house because it’s so difficult to manage.
