  Almost Transparent Blue is exactly what you wouldn’t expect from such a striking name, nothing like what you might imagine. It’s not bad, but it remains generic and I have to lower my expectations. That said, it’s well-crafted and sparks considerable curiosity at first, with a blend that seemed camphoraceous, featuring conifer woods and citrus. The initial sensation was strange, yet interesting. I sat and waited a while to see how it evolved on my wrist, and then I understood the trick: it’s aldehydes. It’s a curious scent, with a slightly dissonant opening that eventually wins you over, maintaining this quality throughout almost the entire dry-down. I’d define it as a fun project: a fairly common smell but executed very well.
