About Annapurna
Annapurna: Mountain Green Wrapped in Honey
From Peak Love comes Annapurna, a 2026 creation for women and men alike. The nose behind it is Mark Buxton, working in a decidedly shared-wear register.
The mood is one of contrast: verdant coolness above, mellow honeyed florals at its core, and a resinous amber glow below. There is sweetness, gentle spice, and a powder-soft finish running throughout.
Up top are buchu, juniper berry, pink pepper and green notes. The effect is aromatic and airy, herbal in feel with a peppery rose glint that lifts rather than heats.
The middle turns golden with honeycomb, joined by rhododendron, scented broom and narcissus. Together they form a yellow-floral bouquet, luminous and nectar-like, where honey enriches the petals.
Beneath lies a foundation of vetiver, incense, patchouli, sandalwood, musk and amber. Vetiver and patchouli lend an earthy line, sandalwood brings creaminess, while incense and amber supply balsamic depth.
The interplay of crisp and cosy defines the wear. Juniper, greens and vetiver keep the honey from settling too heavily, and the musk rounds each transition with a talc-like softness.
Buxton’s touch is evident in the restraint: clarity up front, richness behind, held together without heaviness. It suggests altitude and shelter in equal measure.
It will suit lovers of green, honeyed florals in unisex form, and those drawn to mellow incense, sandalwood, patchouli and amber finished with powder.
Annapurna unfolds plainly and pleasingly: peppered green freshness, a honey and blossom heart, then vetiver, incense and amber warmth. Fresh air first, golden comfort after.
