  Nothing more to add to LaDameDeNoir’s review. Azuree is simply a delicious chypre, one of the book classics, old school, the kind that is no longer made. A green and herbal beauty bottled. Good longevity and a more than acceptable sillage. If you like green chypres, don’t hesitate, go for it!

  Masterful and superb, potent, earthy and punchy, it lasts for hours and hours on the skin. It’s a style similar to Clinique’s Elixir: that mature, characterful scent that affects your mood. A true relic of the house. I hope they don’t discontinue it.

  I won’t be impartial about Azuree. I remember a girl with enormous green eyes and lashes that take your breath away, with a sharp, perfect face, and she’s charming and efficient in her admin work. Sometimes I get nervous around her because she seems too beautiful. I see her around there almost always wearing perfume, and recently I noticed a new scent that made me even more nervous. When I asked her, she said it was Azuree, a gift from her mother. At that moment, I sensed a green accord where vetiver was noticeable, though the situation didn’t give me time to analyse it further and I felt a bit embarrassed. I managed to get a sample and indeed it smells of the countryside but with complex sobriety. It doesn’t have one note that stands out above the others, which I love; I don’t detect rose, but rather a very worked-up floral base that always sits behind the strong, fragrant grass. It has that earthy mark that gives it character. The projection and longevity are good. It’s a mature aroma, but curiously it wears well without making a fool of itself or being a femme fatale. Although I said I wouldn’t be impartial, I think there’s no need for that exaggerated posturing to wear a characterful perfume well or to be beautiful. There are women near fifty who, with cheap perfumes and lots of attitude, make you see that beauty is everywhere. It’s worth trying Azuree and I recommend it hugely.
