I went treasure hunting and stumbled upon this work of art: B. Balenciaga Intense. It was one of the best blind buys I’ve ever made! Seeing the name, I thought it would be rich, but I was wrong… it’s a wonder! It opens with exquisite green tea, blueberries and soy; then, after 15 minutes, it moves into night-blooming jasmine. The dry down in cedar and mahogany is exquisite. It continues to leave a trail of fruity notes with plenty of wood, a fabulous blend. I wear it in any season and at any time: from a casual lunch where its freshness triumphs, to formal dinners or parties where it is the centre of sophistication. The trail is excellent; I put it on at 10 am and it was still there at 7 pm. It’s one of the most captivating fragrances I’ve ever smelled and is staying in my collection. I bought it today and I’m already planning to go for more bottles.
