I own this version and admit it’s the dupe of The One, just softer and less loud, ideal for everyday wear.
The best thing about Zara perfumes is that they last and are cheap. Most smell good, except for two. This one is fruity with vanilla, very sensual.
It’s a very pleasant companion for every day, sweet, powdery and very feminine.
My review is very similar to the one I wrote for Red Vanilla and Oriental, both also by Zara, not because they are similar scents, which they aren’t, but because their quality and performance are similar. Black Amber smells nice with a citrus opening that lasts a moment to give way to a vanilla scent with a powdery touch, leaving only a very subtle hint of those initial citrus notes. Clone or dupe of The One? Where it reminds me most is in its dry-down, but it doesn’t get as similar as to be considered one. If Red Vanilla could be the soft, more informal version of LVEB, Black Amber could be the one for The One. Longevity and trail, at least on my skin, are moderate to soft.
My opinion is similar to that of Zara’s Red Vanilla and Oriental: they aren’t similar scents, but the quality and longevity are identical. Black Amber smells rich; it starts citrusy but fades quickly to reveal vanilla with a touch of talc, leaving only a subtle citrus trail. Is it a clone of The One? It resembles it when dry, but not enough to be one. If Red Vanilla is the soft version of LVEB, Black Amber would be the The One equivalent. On my skin, the longevity and sillage are moderate to soft.
I loved it; I was just looking for a sweet, vanilla-scented fragrance (not too much as I get dizzy) and winter-appropriate, and this is it. I haven’t tried The One, but given the price this fragrance had, it’s incredible; I’ll buy it again once I finish it.
Zara colognes, well, their longevity is very short. My favourite are the Caramelos Artesanos de Barcelona… it’s addictive!

I like it a lot. It’s not the same, but it reminds me a lot of The One by D&G (in its EDT version; I find the EDP very strong). It belongs to Zara’s night collection, however, I think it’s IDEAL for fresh days, winter and even spring. It has an excellent trail and very good longevity; obviously, the latter depends a lot on pH, as reviews often say Zara fragrances don’t last well, but with me they do. It’s an elegant, modern, classy fragrance, sweet in just the right measure. Girls and teenagers, stay away!
I have it but it’s not my favourite. Despite having passion fruit, I don’t notice it. It’s not bad, it smells nice. It feels soapy, nothing invasive and pleasant for everyday wear. On the skin, I think I could wear it in any season. I don’t find it sweet either, but I insist that it smells very soapy. I wouldn’t buy it again as I’d prefer ‘Oriental’, which has better performance and I like it more.
What I like about this is how fresh and clean it smells; it’s quite versatile. At first, I detect the mandarin, though it’s hard to spot because it’s not 100% mandarin by the end, so I assume it blends with the passion fruit (I’ve only tasted it in powdered juices, so not much). Yes, after half an hour it smells sweet, fresh, citrusy, and always very clean. I only use it for sleeping; I’ve never worn it out, but people at home say it smells lovely. I think it suits any occasion or season. I don’t recall the scent of D&G’s The One to confirm that. The trail lasts 1-2 hours and on the skin 3-4. It’s fun, clean, fresh, fruity, and sweet. The best thing is that it smells fresh and clean, very versatile. At first, I notice the tangerine, although it’s a bit hard to detect because it’s not 100% tangerine straight out; I assume it mixes with the passion fruit (I’ve only tasted it in powdered juice, so I don’t know much about this), but after fifteen minutes it smells sweet, fresh, citrusy and always very clean. I only wear it to sleep; I’ve never worn it out, but at home they say it smells delicious. I think it suits any occasion or season. I can’t recall the scent of The One by Dolce & Gabbana to confirm that. The trail lasts 1-2 hours and on the skin about 3-4. Fun, clean, fresh, fruity and sweet. Cheers.
Soft, elegant and gorgeous. Passion fruit, musk and vanilla… The trail is moderate and it lasts a long time on the skin. It sounds like a warmer, simpler version of Diamonds by EA with The One by DG, very faithful to its line and with similar longevity on the skin. It’s super addictive; I’d love to see it in 200ml. I’ve just received compliments wearing it.
I bought it due to the good reviews, without having tried The One. At first I didn’t like it, it smelled like cough syrup, but once it dried on my skin it became delicious and super elegant. The problem is that it doesn’t last long on my skin.
At first it smells like sunscreen, but soon it transforms into a creamy, soft passion fruit that becomes more fruity and less acidic over time, thanks to the vanilla and musk. I found it a feminine perfume for mild weather, for daily wear and without fuss, very good for its price. It lasts about 4 hours with little projection after the first hour. If you’re looking for something similar but with better longevity, try Jasmin Wisp by Rasasi: it’s more expensive but worth it; with a good spray it projects to Jupiter and you can be smelled to the ends of the earth. Pleasant: 6/10, Interesting: 4/10, Versatile: 7/10, Original: 6/10.

It’s seductive and sensual, perfect for cold autumn and winter nights thanks to that warm touch. It smells sweetly, like a delicate confection mixed with freshness and fruit. It has incredible projection and lasts for hours; it starts intense until the vanilla emerges to accompany the rest of the day with that powerful trail. I love it, ideal for romantic plans, night outings and dinners.

I don’t enjoy the blend: the passion fruit with tangerine doesn’t convince me, and the underlying vanilla sweetening everything adds nothing. The notes feel separate and I dislike the combination. To me, it smells like fruit nectar, similar to The One Essence or Givenchy Dahlia. Others find it nauseating, but it tastes delicious to me.
I like it immensely! I keep rediscovering it and loving it more each time. The tangerine is powerful and fresh at first, then comes the passion fruit, musk and vanilla. The last note adds sweetness without being cloying. It resembles The One by D&G and suits any season or time of day.
I love it, although I don’t detect any citrus notes. It’s calm but sometimes smells of white flowers (which I adore) and vanilla, resulting in a scent that’s a bit strong despite being light. Very floral and lovely, ideal for an afternoon with friends, a date, or dinner.
They say it’s a clone of The One by D&G and they’re right, but Black Amber shines brighter, feels cleaner and more luminous. It smells feminine and elegant, without being heavy or overwhelming, very clean girl style.
