Wrapped in beautiful vanilla, light yet characterful and full of life, thanks to Casablanca77’s generosity. It doesn’t smell like freshly baked cake; instead, it has a floral touch with a slight smokiness, without being woody or spicy; the incense is barely noticeable. Bois d’Iris is romantic without being overly sweet, feminine without turning sensual or carnal, always maintaining a balance that makes it unique. An elegant and refined composition where iris and vanilla dance together, alternating their presence with every movement. Neither dominates the other, creating an almost magical cloud around you. I love it. Like others, I see it as more suitable for a lady and perfect for winter. On my skin, it’s calming, elegant, and provides that necessary comfort to face difficult days. A good perfume with satisfactory performance.

I’ve just received it and I love it. The smoky base is very noticeable, with an ecclesiastical touch, over which the iris and the sweet vanilla float beautifully. Perhaps it’s a little more feminine, but I think it’s perfectly usable. Great quality at a very fair price. Additionally, they gifted me a bottle of Tauscan (very similar to Tom Ford’s Tuscan Leather). A 10 for Note33. Scent: 10, Longevity: 8, Sillage: 7, Value for money: 9, Versatility: 8, Overall: 8.5.

Bois d’Iris is delicately sweet. A generous sample from Darkbeat made me very happy. It opens fresh like a spring morning, with a caressing vanilla that lasts seconds before revealing a raw, metallic, and vibrant iris, like angel flesh. This angel, thanks to a light and pure incense, is feminine and celestial. The iris holds the others, extending its arms to deserve its name, blending well with woods and a pulpy vanilla. Don’t expect a synthetic sweet, but a moderate one that gives ethereal and light beauty. It’s a powdery vanilla that clings as if it were from tender roots. In its dry down, it becomes raw and metallic, astonishing, with vanilla in delicate layers at the base. Finally, the intensity of the iris and incense almost disappears, leaving us with one of the most delicious vanillas I’ve ever smelled. I recommend this perfume wholeheartedly to anyone wanting a special iris and vanilla. Executed in a minimalist way, it’s the scent of an angel becoming mortal. Nice sillage for 6 hours and longevity over 12. One of the best vanillas of the season, special and non-repetitive. A wonderfully simple and beautiful author perfume.
