Another spectacular perfume from this brand, thanks to darkbeat’s generosity! My nose finds a beautiful, refined, and elegant rose, yes, perhaps a touch more feminine, but that doesn’t worry me 😊. It’s totally different from the roses I’ve tried: it’s sweet and spicy, making it super versatile. It has the elegant touch for everyday wear and the office, and that sweet, intense, and sexy hint of cinnamon and patchouli, perfect for night outs and special occasions. I like it so much that, like with Orecieux, I’m thinking of buying the lot, even though buying roses wasn’t on my plans! But these aren’t your typical roses; every time I think about it, I’m more convinced they have a secure spot in my collection. Roses des Sables is a beautiful, elegant, and super feminine rose; although it becomes a bit unisex as it dries, it always retains that exquisite feminine air that a traditional man might struggle with, but if you have an open mind, you’ll wear it brilliantly. The notes listed are the main chords, but not the whole story: opening with Turkish Rose, blackcurrant, and raspberry; heart of cinnamon, rose absolute, clove, and incense; base of patchouli, sandalwood, white musk, and Cambodian oud. From start to finish, it’s an elegant and splendid rose, feminine and delicate, set in nuances that, while it may sound monotonous, is multifaceted: green, sweet, musky, fresh, woody, and spicy tones, creating a vintage and refined floral. The opening is a musky rose at its finest, elegant and vintage; I haven’t noticed the fruits, just a subtle sweet undertone that reminds more of cinnamon. Gradually, the musk fades and a fresher, velvety rose emerges, with a woody and musky base, a bit earthy but always floral, super distinguished and well-bred. The final dry-down is similar to the mid-stage but with more depth: an impeccable, refined, and select rose for an elegant woman with clear ideas. Performance is very good, lasting between 8 and 9 hours on my skin, with notable projection at first and then close to the skin, which is remarkable for the price. Ideal for cold and temperate climates, day or night, although it’s special for romantic dates or formal events; wearing it daily would be a waste. I liked it a lot, but not for me because it’s very feminine; if you’re a woman who loves roses with a classic musky touch, buy it, you won’t regret it, it’s a beautiful rose at a stunning price.
