Another fragrance from this house that feels too feminine to me; it’s not bad, but simply not for me. Fragrantica doesn’t list all the notes, only the accords, so here they are: top of bergamot and pear, heart of jasmine, neroli and ylang-ylang, base of patchouli, white musk and amber notes. It’s very linear, with almost no evolution on my skin: it opens fresh with sweet, powdery touches, then becomes creamy over time, leaving patchouli, jasmine and neroli in full force over a light musky base. It’s a feminine, elegant and classic scent that, for some reason, reminded me of its collection sibling Bois d’Iris, although they don’t share notes; I suppose it’s down to the style or execution. It’s a refined, distinguished floral chypre of the old school, highly recommended for those who miss this type of creation, far from current trends. Personally, I don’t like it; the floral notes feel sharp to me and make my stomach churn, but for those who enjoy such perfumes, it’s a scent worth considering with excellent value for money. It’s not unisex, more on the feminine side; I, at least, can’t see myself wearing it again. I’m more than satisfied overall. The performance is, as with any fragrance you don’t like, very good, with a noticeable trail and excellent longevity. I wore it this morning and had to shower by 4 pm to get rid of it, as I could no longer bear it; imagine my day with the heat and this perfume radiating like a demon… It’s suited to cold and temperate climates, for daytime wear in winter and in warmer seasons without excess, preferably at night. As for my recommendation: I wouldn’t recommend it to men, and to women only those who appreciate classic, formal and elegant scents; for them, it’s a highly recommended perfume.
