A bargain on a discontinued fragrance from a perfumery closing due to retirement. It smells generic, sweet, and floral; sometimes reminiscent of an Invictus flanker or a washed-out version of Stronger with You. It’s floral and vanilla at the same time, with a very subtle nutty note. Quite unclassifiable or versatile, whichever you prefer. I wear it when I’m not sure what to put on; now I’ve put it on to stay in. It’s rich, though I won’t say much about its projection and longevity. I prefer its twin sister, Pureblack, an elegant leather nothing like Tom Ford. But that’s another story.
It smells quite Italian, although the ingredients are very modern (or perhaps I’m confusing it with another fragrance). In its dry down, it reminded me of a Cofinluxe, the Taxi NY. As for the style, it certainly plays in the same league as Luciano Soprani Uomo. Very good!
