  I tried it and it hit the spot. It smells dark and deep, with a powerful opening that settles beautifully on the skin. At first, it reminds me of a fragrance I already know. Projection is moderate, lasting about 3 to 4 hours, with good longevity between 7 and 8. Ideal for nights or cold days, and suited to people over 25.

  This fragrance pleasantly surprised me; being from an almost unknown brand here, it’s not easy to find and has low stock rotation. It seems they overlooked it until it became a high-end gem. Pureblack is a semi-dark oriental, nocturnal and formal, yet not overly elegant. Upon spraying, there’s a fleeting rubber note before giving way to a cosy blend of leather and vanilla. Minutes later, tonka bean and sandalwood join under a woody, smoky veil. It recalls Fahrenheit Absolute but is sweeter, more wearable and lighter—say, with a slightly synthetic touch (which isn’t a problem). Longevity is around 5 hours, with moderate projection for the first hour before settling closer to the skin, and a pleasant dry-down. If you’re looking for something elegant with a soft sweetness and a toasted note, give it a try; it could be an interesting surprise. Not bad at all. Rating: 8.0
