My experience was lamentable. I wanted it for a long time, we know the cost is high, but I didn’t like it. I didn’t find it fresh, but too acidic. Before the bitterness of lemon peel, you sense a delicate, crystal-clear and fleeting sweetness. It’s an acid that reminds me of sour lemon. When the spray is in the air it’s a beautiful floral caress, but lasts a blink and you can’t smell it again. In the dry-down there’s a very light sweet touch, but no trail; you must get close to the skin or clothes to smell it (a few centimetres). For the price, I regret that no one can smell it; it’s very silent; moving around leaves no trail, nothing, just the memory and sometimes a lemon. A lemon soap would have sufficed. I thought because it’s Chanel it would be impressive, but it stands alongside imitations and could even lose. I wouldn’t recommend it. Especially because, regardless of taste, the performance is a scam. The EDT smells more feminine but in the shop it lasted even less than the EDP I chose. To clarify: the EDT smells more floral, innocent, feminine and tender, but lasts nothing. The EDP smells to me like bitter lemon peel oil, somewhat bitter, sharp, with more character; in the dry-down it leaves a citrus-floral scent, predominantly citrus and musky, lasts longer, but doesn’t smell like the EDT. I wouldn’t recommend it.
Wanted to try it because it was talked about a lot. Several reviews said its clone was Zara’s Applejuice and Marc Jacobs’ Daisy. As it was within reach, I bought the Zara one and found it pleasant, but expected the Chanel to be better. Now I’ve compared all three and the truth is Applejuice is identical, only the opening has more alcohol, but then it smells the same. That disappointed me; after so many wonderful reviews about Chance Eau Tendre, I thought it would be more impactful. The Daisy doesn’t resemble it; I don’t know why it’s cited as a clone; its scent is different, more floral and sweet.
This perfume is my younger sister’s signature scent for three years. I like it a lot: it’s fresh, florally citrusy (I notice the flowers a lot) and very good for daytime wear. I won’t wear it myself as that’s our tradition, but undoubtedly I like it.
My go-to perfume, the one that never fails when I don’t know what to wear. Fresh, versatile and elegant. On my skin it has good longevity and moderate projection. A must-have in my collection; I love it.
Bought it blind because I adore several Chanel fragrances, but it didn’t meet my expectations, far below what I’d expect from a Chanel EDP. Pleasant, but very soft, ideal for daily wear, sunny days and casual events. There’s an opening where I notice more rose with quince, a delicate and musky dry-down. Lasts over seven hours on skin but with an almost imperceptible trail by the third hour. Won’t buy again and I don’t understand the hype. The Chance Yellow EDP and EDT and other Chancels have better scent and longevity.
Pleasant, but I prefer the EDT regarding the scent. Here I detect more of the quince acid note than in the EDT. Doesn’t convince me.
A relative gave it to me after I bought it by mistake; I wanted the EDT as reviews said it was rich and long-lasting. But this EDP version is horrible: on my skin it smells only of strong musk, very intense at first and gives me a headache. It doesn’t last at all, max four hours. The worst is it’s very expensive and not worth it. A total disappointment. If the EDP smells and lasts like this, I can’t imagine the EDT. Very disappointed.
Simply love it. Smells clean, very feminine, fresh and floral. At first it’s a bit dense but softens, noticeable only if you get close. Not cloying. Lasts longer on clothes; on my skin about five hours before fading to skin scent. Gets lots of compliments. Maybe not quite for night unless you apply more… I love it.
It’s super feminine, fresh and floral. You feel freshly showered when wearing it. I started with it as a gift. Would I recommend it? At that price, there are better, more impactful and personality-filled options. It’s a safe purchase. If you’re thinking of buying blind, go for it; you’ll like it.
I prefer the EDT; it’s brighter and more youthful. This version, while similar, is resinous. Still adorable, but less innocent than the original. Longevity is moderate to low; the jasmine is intense and green with a fruity top note that evaporates quickly, revealing a plush musk base. If both lasted longer, they’d be my favourite Chance scents. I love the slogan ‘Choose your chance’.
Buy blind with confidence. This perfume is exquisite: elegantly and sophisticated, classy yet super youthful. It’s a youthful adult woman, because it inspires the perfect balance between experience and youth. Ideal for offices and work environments because it’s not cloying or overwhelming. It can be felt but doesn’t cause dizziness or headaches. It brings joy, energy, freshness, and femininity. Perfect for spring, summer, and first dates. For confident women who don’t seek to attract others desperately. This perfume doesn’t shout because it doesn’t need to; it shines by its own luminosity. It smells sweet yet neat, like a clean woman with delicious skin. Good noticeable longevity (the EDP) and just right sillage. It can be felt without invading or annoying. It’s very well balanced; although it’s sweet, its sweetness is grounded by the other notes, making it delicate. It’s my favourite ‘mood booster’.
Clean, very feminine, long-lasting, versatile, and crystal clear. A sure success for self-gifting in women aged 27 and above.
It’s a very imposing perfume, but for my taste, it smells very strong and tends to give me a headache. I live in a tropical country so I can tolerate it; I must wear it only on cold days, especially in autumn when the temperature is fresher.
I already had this fragrance in its 2018 version and wanted to restock it to feel like before (10/2022). I got the 75ml EDP. I like it, except for its acidity; is it my pH? I don’t know, it becomes very acidic, but I love it. I regret not feeling it as much and having to reapply occasionally, but overall it’s great for enjoying in summer, at work, or at events. Very rich and special. The quince with grapefruit stands out throughout its evolution, becoming quite acidic but with an incredibly rich freshness.
I love it; I bought it looking for something more mature, but the sillage and longevity have disappointed me a little.
Notes of jasmine, musk, vanilla, roses with quince, bergamot, lemon, and pear. Intense, long-lasting, feminine, and cheerful fragrance. It’s too vibrant for my taste; I prefer perfumes that relax and embrace. I tried Zara’s Applejuice first and it didn’t excite me. Chanel is Chanel: although this isn’t my style, I recognise it has excellent quality, sillage, and longevity. It’s a very long-lasting, cheerful feminine scent.
Lovely, fresh, and subtle for everyday wear, but it has terrible performance: it doesn’t last even an hour and has no sillage.
What a beautiful perfume, very feminine and delicate! I love wearing it. It lasts about 5 hours. The budget dupe is Eclat de Fleurs by Lanvin.
I like it, but I don’t love it. On my skin, it highlights a penetrating and sharp musk with a slightly sweet base. I truly hoped I would like it, but it wasn’t the case. Unlike the EDT, this lasts longer, but it doesn’t wrap me in that tender and fresh aura. Good longevity, about 5 hours, but with low sillage on my skin.
Love at first sniff! It adds a fresh, feminine, fun, and chic touch to whoever wears it. It’s not for little girls, teenagers, or older ladies (you know when you reach that stage). The ingredients are top quality, but unfortunately, the longevity and sillage are weak; it should project more given the price. Although being fresh is normal, it has that spark between grapefruit and quince that makes it stimulating. It reminds me of an active woman, carelessly sexy and very chic. I love it!
Girls, I don’t know what it is, but it happens to me with several already, even if they are fresh etc., they smell super classic to me and I am incapable of wearing them RIP.
When I want to be happy, I put it on. It is my favourite fragrance. Fresh, slightly sweet without being annoying. Excellent for summer and spring. Good longevity.
I love this perfume. Its quince note fascinates me. I find it suitable for all ages.
Please don’t hate me, but what I’m about to say is my personal perception, based as much on my pH as my sense of smell… It is a nice perfume, but that’s all. It is for stepping out of the bathroom and smelling clean on an ordinary day, but it doesn’t convey more to me. I sense much more personality in the classic EDT from the same Chance line. I tried a thousand times to fall in love with it, given the hype it always has… but MEEEH… I use it because it is a gift, but I wouldn’t buy it.
This perfume has it all. It is one I want to have always: cheerful, sparkling, and jovial. Sweet, citrusy, and clean in a bottle. I don’t come across many Chanel perfumes, perhaps that will change one day. I don’t like the CCM to buy and the classic Chance is on my list but makes me hesitate; it doesn’t kill me like this one did, which made me buy it instantly when I heard it. It is a summer bomb. I don’t know if others perceive it around them, but I feel it all day from morning until night and it still remains on clothes for days. I feel it all day on my skin too. The only pain is the price; if I could, I would use it every hot day.
I only have a decant and the truth is, I love it. Yes, it is classic, a fresh and very clean, feminine floral; although it isn’t an out-of-this-world scent, I feel the quality is evident. Very versatile and ideal for hot days, it is definitely one of the most feminine and polished perfumes out there, with that quince note that gives it a distinctive fruity sweetness. On my skin it has a moderate (but perceptible) trail and lasts five hours. It is on my wishlist, although I do feel its price is high, especially regarding the longevity… Edit 8 months later: I now have it in my collection and I love it. It is so delicate and beautiful, a pleasure to wear. It brings silent luxury and I will keep it forever (although honestly, I don’t think it’s worth the price, its scent is so precious that in my case I decide to pay for it).
I just want to share my personal experience with this Chance Eau Tendre. I used it years ago, bought it again a couple of months back, and it is exquisite, feminine, and delicate; it brought back many good memories. It works brilliantly at the office; with just one or two sprays, two colleagues complimented me. I also see it as appropriate for the evening, although I perceive it as slightly invasive, very sweet, with a sharp but pleasant sweetness, so I apply it only a few times. On very hot days, it gives me a slight headache, but it is exquisite. It is fresh, floral, and fruity; when it dries, it gives a sensation of soap and clean freshness. It lasts a long time on clothes and quite a bit on the skin, with a moderate trail. The only downside is the price. I recommend it; I don’t like segmenting who it is for; anyone who can afford it should use it.
I fell in love with the bottle and the good reviews, so I let myself be carried away and bought it blind, hehe. I’m not sure if I like it entirely, but it is true that on my skin it smells like shower gel; it becomes soapy with a light touch of fresh rose, nothing sweet. It lasts about seven hours with a moderate trail at first and a soft finish; perhaps it will last better in winter, as I’ve heard it doesn’t last long on others.
It was a special gift over a year ago. I adored its delicate and elegant aroma, but it lasted very little. I felt disappointed that a Chanel perfume could have such poor performance, so I left it gathering dust in favour of more potent ones. However, yesterday I decided to give it another try and, surprise! Its longevity was much greater: I could smell it with every movement, intensely, for five or six hours, compared to the one or two hours before. It seems the theory of letting perfumes macerate is true.
I was genuinely surprised that it doesn’t last on others; on my skin, which usually manages a maximum of three hours with normal EDPs, this Chance (both versions) lasts for hours. Although it lacks a bit of sparkle and isn’t my absolute favourite, I love how clean and feminine it is. The EDP is heavier than the EDT, perhaps not ideal for summer. It smells strongly of roses at first, then of white flowers, with that creamy, body-lotion touch that lasts all day. A lovely, classic, and feminine scent. I use it daily at the office and for going out; I recommend it to women aged 28 and over.
It smells like doll plastic to me; I couldn’t bear the scent and intensity, and my husband nearly lost his temper
Today, while wearing this perfume, I was surprised by the comments; I’m not sure if we’re talking about the same thing, but reading that it’s very sweet and heavy has left me bewildered. I live in a humid tropical climate where the heat sometimes overwhelms above 40 degrees, and this perfume isn’t praised by others for being too subtle. Perhaps I perceive it as such, but it feels comfortable, smells of flowers, citrus and is very clean all day, and the scent lingers on clothes. I’m usually a fan of sweet perfumes, but this and Bright Crystal save me in the heat. I suggest testing it on skin to be sure if it’s for you
Perfect for those of us living in temperatures near 50 degrees. Although it’s jovial, it’s incredibly elegant; people always compliment it and in my climate it lasts with phenomenal projection. It’s one of my favourite Chanaels that I always restock
Well, I’d been wanting this fragrance for some time, but it’s very expensive in my country. A few days ago I managed to buy it blind and my goodness, what a divine, exquisite and refined scent. I’m in love with this aroma
A soft, clean, fresh and feminine aroma. I wore the EDT for months and I believe the investment in the EDP is totally worth it. It’s youthful and light; personally, perfumes don’t last as long, but Chance seems to be with me even when I’m not wearing it. Highly recommended, though I suggest testing it before buying; it’s quite special but not difficult to like
I prefer the EDT version
A classy, fresh, floral and fruity scent, ageless and timeless, balanced and clean, ideal for warm climates. If you’re seeking a 24-hour Chanel with a vanilla base, go for Coco Mademoiselle. If you want something versatile, youthful and carefree, go ahead. If price is a concern, it’s not for you. One must appreciate elegance to value it. The same applies to other fleeting but enjoyable fragrances, such as Hermes J’ai une idée or Loewe Mar de Coral. For me, the perfect version would be this Tendre with the performance of Coco, but that’s not possible. The chemistry of fresh scents simply doesn’t work that way
Chance Eau Tendre is pleasant and youthful, very similar to Marc Jacobs Daisy despite different notes. I tried the EDT and didn’t like it, but with the EDP I found what I was looking for: it’s charming, attractive and delightful. I regret it lasts me a mere breath in my case; it opens with a citrus blend of quince and grapefruit, then leaves only a sweet, musky floral trail that lingers for 2–3 hours. I see it as a personal pleasure that doesn’t reach others; I’ve never received compliments. It’s a true guilty pleasure given the price and short longevity. I won’t be buying it again; it seems overpriced. I’ll buy Daisy as soon as this runs out
Sounds divine and I’ve received compliments, though I have to apply quite a bit for it to be noticeable
Reminds me of my beloved Dove shampoo
