I bought it thinking it was the original Chloe EDP, but what a relief. It smells of clean, soapy, pure roses, like fine old soaps. The pink pepper is strong at first but fades within an hour. It wakes me up, so it’s ideal for daytime and versatile all year round. I’d call it a pure, sophisticated rose floral. It lasts over 12 hours on the skin, projects moderately but leaves a trail, and lasts even longer on clothes. It’s a must for rose lovers and a rare gem.

It reminds me of L’Air du Temps by Nina Ricci, an intense and oily scent, like a very strong essence. It’s not for everyone and certainly not for me. I wouldn’t pay to smell like that; there’s too much pepper (I only recently realised my skin doesn’t tolerate it, reacting very poorly to any perfume containing it).

It’s exquisite, sexy, and very long-lasting. Feminine and sensual. It reminds me of the roses in my mother’s garden when I was little. There are scents that bring back memories, take us to the past, and make us feel good. It relaxes me.

I absolutely loved this perfume… I had several bottles until it disappeared from the perfumeries. It hurt so much because I truly adored it. It had such personality and class, nothing vulgar. What a shame they’ve discontinued it.

The original Chloe is nothing like this: it smells of rose with a hint of pepper, super-wintery and nocturnal. It lasts for hours and is totally different from the others.

I picked it up today blind because there were no testers, and it’s delicious. It smells sensual, sexy, and lasts a long time. I’m very happy with my purchase.
