The opening is a sweet vanilla embrace with balsamic notes, but the dry-down is an absolute disaster; what on earth have they done?

  • A luminous floral with rose at the forefront, sweetening and ambering as it dries. It doesn’t smell like the other flankers; it seems creamy, lactonic, cocoa-toned with a tropical touch. Ideal for spring and summer.

  • Ideal for those who can’t stand the original Chloé or its other flankers. I almost passed it by not being a fan of the line, but what a delightful surprise. A rose-led scent with jasmine, much warmer and ambered. I wear it daily, more suitable for daytime, perfect for autumn and winter. Lasts about six hours with a light projection. I’m not sure if I’ll buy it, but it’s my favourite in the collection.

  • It has nothing to do with the rest of the line, which I’m glad about as I’m not a fan of powdery scents. I like the opening a lot, but when it dries down it leaves something to be desired; it resembles Fame and has a topical/coco smell.

  • Tender is the keyword. It has a sweet, tropical trail that’s almost honeyed; it could be your signature scent for any season. Edit: I let it macerate for months and now it smells like the whole house.

I started thinking ‘how nice this smells’, surely it has pineapple, but it has no fruity notes. Still, I sensed a fruity/tropical vibe. The rose is subtler than in the original and has little to do with the other edition. It’s sweet from the start, then the amber, balsamic and vanilla notes emerge. I loved it.

  • I’ve tested this perfume extensively and conclude there is a lot of mango and tropical fruit. They say it resembles FAME when dry, but I don’t see it, as FAME has sandalwood and this one does not. This Chloe is tropical, like a balsamic jasmine with some mango.

At first, I thought ‘what a lovely smell!’, surely there was pineapple in the notes, but I can’t detect it. However, I definitely sensed fruity and tropical notes (I tested it once). The rose is much more subtle than in the original, which, as others say, has few similarities with this edition. From the start it is sweet, and with time, amber, balsamic, and vanilla notes emerge. I loved it.

  • Tender is the perfect word. It has a sweet, tropical trail and is almost honeyed; it could be your signature scent all year round. Edit: I let it macerate for months and now it smells throughout the whole house.

  • Vainillina

Powdery and floral, where the rose stands out and the vanilla is barely noticeable. Over time, it dries down to something that could be a distant cousin of vanilla, smelling of a sweet note not listed on the bottle, like pineapple. You have to press your nose against the skin to smell it; it performs slightly better on clothes. Smells good but is boring and very common.

Smells elegant and chic, with a potent jasmine opening that fades quickly to reveal a tender, powdery rose. I loved the scent, but the projection is non-existent; you have to press your nose against the skin to smell it. The price is high and it didn’t meet my expectations, though I’ll wear it daily as it’s not unpleasant. Ideal if you like powdery, musky florals, but be prepared for it not to last long.
