Pure nostalgia and olfactory memory. Cléa is incredibly personal; it transports me to my early childhood, an era I barely recall. Somewhere in the house lies an empty bottle that brings those times back to life, moments that will never return. It was my mother’s perfume; when I was little, I admired that beautiful bottle. I remember it as slightly sweet with an amber touch, which then evolves into fresh notes, like soap, just as other reviews mention. Judging by the scent of the bottle kept for over twenty years: a sweet, floral opening and a fresh dry down. A lovely classic that should return.

Cléa is a characterful classic with a soapy character, without distinct notes. I wear it when I want to smell clean but with a more sophisticated touch. It’s not my favourite perfume, but it’s an all-rounder for any occasion, unless I want to stand out with something seductive. It reminds me of Chanel No. 5, but worlds apart. I think more people might like it than Chanel because it’s softer and lacks those prominent aldehydes. It has excellent longevity, nothing to envy an EDP, and a moderate sillage that isn’t intrusive. Scent 6/10, Longevity 8/10, Sillage 7/10, Value for money 8/10, Versatility 7/10, Packaging 6/10. Would I buy it again? Perhaps.

It smells like soap. Not bad, but to me it smells like soap. The first spray is strong, but it fades quickly, leaving a very subtle soapy scent.

I don’t understand why they stopped making it; it was so lovely. The bottle is very elegant.
