Descripción

Chanel Coco Eau de Toilette is a spicy oriental fragrance for women. The nose behind this creation is Jacques Polge. The top notes reveal a vibrant combination of Bulgarian rose, coriander, peach, mandarin and jasmine. The heart of the composition is sustained with cloves, rose, mimosa, orange blossom and white clover. Finally, the base notes offer a warm and enveloping foundation of sandalwood, amber, opoponax, galbanum, vanilla, tonka bean and labdanum.

  • Coco by Chanel is wonderful and full of personality. It’s a spiced, enveloping, warm oriental that reminds me a lot of Yves Saint Laurent’s Opium, though softer. Both are masterpieces of the 80s, but they aren’t for every occasion, setting, or outfit. They demand character and elegant style. I can’t imagine a girl in ripped jeans and flip-flops wearing it; it would be wasted. Highly recommended for those who value a timeless masterpiece.

  • Chanel Coco is a jewel with character: a warm, spiced oriental that reminds me of Yves Saint Laurent’s Opium, though softer. Both are masterpieces of the 80s, but beware: they aren’t for every occasion, setting, or outfit. They demand personality and an elegant style to be worn well. I can’t imagine wearing this with ripped jeans, a t-shirt and trainers; it would be wasted. It’s ideal for those who appreciate a timeless piece of perfumery.

  • A blush-pink rose wrapped in spices and hints of civet. But Coco has another side: creamy and sweet, thanks to mimosa and vanilla. You can’t expect less from Jacques Polge; it’s a spectacular and harmonious combination. It’s as dark and narcotic as Paloma Picasso, born the same year, but Paloma goes for a green, animalistic moss with coriander, whereas Coco is a clove bomb tempered by that rose, peach and vanilla. It’s too intense, sometimes irritating, even in the EDT. It’s a luxury reserved for special moments. A spiced oriental from the eighties, with slight differences from the seventies’ Opium. Two great references that shone in their time.

  • Sometimes I detect a smell of plaster, something that smells like a wall, nothing of earth or mud. Could it be synthetic? I don’t know what it is, but it caught me by surprise.

  • Sometimes I notice a smell of plaster, something like a wall or plaster, not earth or mud. Could it be synthetic? I’m not sure what it is, but it shocked me.

  • An unparalleled, elegant, nocturnal and long-lasting aroma. It gives you poise and confidence. It’s the perfect accessory for that outfit you want to show off.

This perfume is the result of the eighties trend of dense, complex orientals that shone like stars. Chanel created it at the height of its prestige; wearing it was synonymous with unattainable luxury for many. I prefer the EDT, more feminine, sweet and floral. The EDP is now unisex, but after reformulation it has lost its punch and longevity, just like the EDT. Clove sweetened by peach, rose and mimosa stand out. Jasmine is present, but sandalwood overshadows it: creamy, sweet and not sharp. It’s a rigid, non-versatile scent, but ideal for elegant women (in terms of style and clothing) in autumn and winter, or for galas. It has an incredible memory effect; people recognise you by the smell. A classic from a glorious era, warm and enveloping, sublime for women who want to stand out and be remembered.

First Chanel purchase and there’s no turning back. I tried it among dozens of scents and it won hands down. I spent two hours in the shopping centre, had a coffee, tracked its evolution, and took it home without hesitation. I fell in love at first sight. I wore it that night at my brother’s party and since then I associate it with elegance, formality and refinement – exactly what Coco Chanel evokes: a serious, mature, rational and decisive woman. I adore its spiced trail, but it’s not for everything; only for certain occasions and outfits. I don’t want it to be just another perfume; I keep it on the special shelf.

Ugh, what can I say about this wonder of perfumery! When I was about 25, I tried it, of course, it was too much for me then. Now at 36, I feel like a proper WOMAN wearing it on my skin. I don’t think it will offend anyone, but it does seem strong, for someone with personality who has travelled a bit of life and makes decisions. A scent for bosses, for sure. Extremely spicy, great sillage and power, and excellent longevity. A true masterpiece by Chanel!

I adore it, much more than the EDP. I have both, but I always end up reaching for this one, even though I own many from the Chanel house. It is incredibly elegant. Coco EDT and the Panthère EDP are my go-to favourites for very formal parties. It’s special. I can’t quite decipher all the listed notes, but the combination works perfectly on my skin. It sits beautifully alongside Poudre de 19… without a doubt, my favourites from Chanel.

I love it! Much more than the EDP. I have both, but I always end up reaching for this one even though I have many Chanel bottles. Simply elegant! Coco EDT and the Panthère EDP… they are my go-to perfumes for very formal parties. It’s special. I can’t quite decipher all the notes, but the blend suits my skin perfectly. It sits alongside Poudre de N19… without a doubt, my favourites from Chanel.

  • I close my eyes and remember a teacher from my childhood; that special, powdery, slightly animal scent that looked so pleasant and elegant on her. But on me, I don’t like it; I feel it’s too stately, perhaps because of that memory. The iris note is very present and a bit overwhelming for me. Now I think it’s synthetic, but it still weighs on me. I’ll continue to remember my teacher with nostalgia, but this perfume isn’t for me.

  • Hello! In my country, they don’t stock the Coco Chanel EDP. Does anyone know if the EDT is similar and worth buying? I once tried Coco and fell in love, but here I only find the EDT. Thanks!

  • A classic that I only use once a week before bed. Classic, elegant… its scent gives me a feeling of relaxation… I couldn’t define it better. It’s special.

  • Poetry. It was an encounter with a quiet, dreamy memory. Coco by Chanel is elegant, relaxing, imposing, and full of personality. I agree that it makes a statement with class. I decided on the EDT because reviews praised its longevity, but on my skin it lasts very little, even for an EDT. Since it’s not cheap, its longevity is a serious flaw; I couldn’t detect it after two hours. I’ll try it on less warm days.

Impressively elegant perfume. To my nose, the clove notes bathed in amber stand out. I tried it in summer and found it strong; this jewel is for autumn, it should be a delight. I don’t see it as a daily wear; I’d use it for special occasions: dinners, concerts, moments of elegance. I’m looking for my first Chanel, I’m torn between this and Coco Noir. The latter is fresher and easier to wear; perhaps it will be harder to find occasions for this Coco. There we are :))))

Impressively elegant. To my nose, the cloves soaked in amber dominate. I tried it in summer and found it too strong; this jewel is for autumn, it must be a delight. It’s not for daily wear, but for dinners, concerts, or moments demanding elegance. I’m looking for my first Chanel and I’m torn between this and the Coco Noir. The Noir is fresher and easier to wear; perhaps this one will take me longer to find occasions for. That’s where we stand… :))))

The duel between the Eau de Parfum and the Eau de Toilette is personal, but the EDT smells more luminous and sparkling to me, whereas the EdP has a more baroque touch. On skin, the longevity is almost identical; both last the same amount of time. Both shine at night events or on fresh days with an elegant outfit; it’s a fragrance of maximum elegance.

  • Smells very similar to the perfume water, but I prefer this version; it’s easier to wear. It goes without saying that it smells like Coco Chanel, the classic. The important thing is that the performance is the same, lasting about 5-8 hours, which for a body mist is a lot. It has good sillage and I love the bottle. It’s an excellent option if you don’t want to spend so much on Chanel’s Eau de Parfum; lately, they are squeezing customers with price hikes.

Coco EDT by Chanel is a classic that never goes out of style (at least for me). I adore it: it’s elegant, sweet, sexy, and alluring, with a distinctly nocturnal vibe. It has PERSONALITY, making it ideal for mature, strong women who want to be the centre of attention. I love its performance; it lasts all day, I go to bed, and I can still smell it the next morning. Incredible, beastly—those are perfumes for LADIES. The trail is incredible and overwhelming; two sprays are enough to be fully scented. It’s vintage, but not just any vintage; Coco Chanel has something special that draws me to it when I wear it. A successful blind buy; I fell in love the moment I tried it. Perfect for autumn and winter with good clothes. It’s unique, unlike anything else I’ve tried, a masterpiece by CHANEL. The best of them all. Scent 10/10, Longevity 10/10, Sillage 10/10, Packaging 10/10, Versatility 5/10, Value for Money 10/10. Would I buy it again? Always.
