Share what you noticed: opening, drydown, sillage and the moments when it works for you.
The opening is brutal, fresh and super clean, with a deep base. It doesn’t last long and settles into white florals, orange and muguet; the iris is noticeable, even if it’s not as strong as the notesheet suggests. It’s very well made, versatile and no one will be put off by it. It’s more floral than citrus, nothing like the Eau Du Coq or Impériale. It has that classic Guerlain essence clinging to the skin. Recommended.
On me it smells of liquorice and juanola, it has class, energy and zest. It fades very softly, persistently and close to the skin with the Guerlain signature, although it shares that addictive dry-down of Ambrée des Marveilles by Hermès.
According to the label, the top notes are citrus, followed by black pepper in the heart and a base of vanilla and tonka bean to full effect.
