  I can’t believe it, this gem (now Eau d’Orient) deserves more praise. I tried it years ago and was left speechless. The woody notes are incredible, something I don’t find in another feminine perfume that projects this much. The incense and spices give it that mystery and sensuality you’re looking for. Close my eyes and I see a dry landscape at sunset, with a woman of deep gaze, red silk, and golden bracelets. It’s warm, dry, and deep. Very feminine, yet I also see a man with great confidence, a true dandy, Dorian Gray type. It’s not super complex, but it’s impeccable and very well made. Totally captivating; after all this time, I still identify with it.

  I liked it at first but now it seems very heavy; I use it as a room spray because I can’t stand it on my skin. I think it’s a very heavy fragrance for cold climates, plus I find it very masculine. I won’t be repurchasing.

  One of the best fragrances of this type from these shops at its price, without a doubt. I’ve received many compliments every time I wear it. Very sexy, mysterious and unique, although it’s not a particularly complex perfume. The projection is beastly and the scent can last days on clothes.

  I liked it at first but now it seems very heavy to me. I use it as a room spray because I can’t tolerate it on my skin. I think it’s a very heavy fragrance and only suitable for cold climates, plus I find it very masculine. No repeat.

  Smells incredibly well. Very sensual and enigmatic. The downside of this brand is that the perfumes don’t last at all on the skin. A pity, because the originality of the scent surpasses many other well-known ones. On more than one occasion, I sprayed it into the air as if it were a room spray to create an enveloping and mysterious atmosphere.

  By far the best fragrance of this type from these stores at its price. I’ve received compliments practically every time I’ve worn it. Very sexy, mysterious and unique despite not being such a complex perfume. The projection is beastly and the scent on clothes can last for days.

  I tried it today at 12 noon and it’s now 9 pm, and it still smells a lot, identical to Alyssa Ashley’s Ambergris.

  I bought it with great enthusiasm and loved it for the first few days. However, as I kept using it, I started feeling something even unpleasant. I found it very heavy; the incense stood out but in a scratched way, leaving a very plastic and unbearable base. My impression is as if it had gone off within a few months of opening it (even keeping it well). A disappointment.

  I bought this fragrance after testing it on my skin and fell in love at first sniff, but upon wearing it, I noticed it projects nothing and lasts barely any time; it smells of burnt plastic and that scent never evolves. It pains me to describe it this way, but that’s exactly what I smell with my expert nose. A disappointment, at least I bought the small size.

  I bought it after testing it on skin; I fell in love at the moment and purchased it, but upon using it, I realised it doesn’t project much and its longevity is scarce. The scent smells like burning plastic and doesn’t evolve; it breaks my heart to describe a fragrance like this. But that’s what I smell, and my sense of smell is very expert. A disappointment, luckily I bought the small size.

  I was eager to smell this fragrance; they said it smelled of mystery. Perhaps for them a stable is mysterious, because that’s what it smells like, or even animal excrement. A horror.

  I tried it for the first time in 2016 on a cold winter night walking around Barcelona with a friend. At first, I almost disliked it; I’d never smelled anything like it before. It was masculine yet had a feminine halo. Gradually, I understood it and fell in love with it until today. The fragrance transports me to a distant and exotic place; its incense and pepper evoke relaxation and meditation, but the truth is I only think of Christmas when I spray it, obviously influenced by that initial moment. I love how the wood is crafted; it makes me feel wrapped in a soft, comforting sandalwood sheet. I reserve it for winter afternoons and evenings, though I use it moderately in autumn. I enjoy it for outings and dinners, especially if they’re romantic, because it’s definitely sexy. It’s also strong; I can smell its trail from more than two metres away, but it doesn’t come across as invasive. I’ve tried making a homemade room spray by burning plastics to achieve a similar scent, but to no avail. I imagine it’s because it doesn’t smell like burnt plastic at all. Of all the Rituals perfumes, if I had to recommend one, I would definitely recommend this.

I enjoy it for going out and dinner, especially if it’s something romantic, as it’s a very sexy perfume. It’s also strong; the trail is noticeable from over two metres away, but it’s not annoying. I’ve tried making a homemade room spray by burning plastic to imitate it, but it didn’t come out, I imagine it doesn’t smell like burnt plastic at all. Of all the Rituals scents, this is the one I would recommend without hesitation.

It’s nothing beastly nor does it project much. I like it this way; it’s the perfect fragrance to wear over an oversized jumper on a cold day. I have the 15ml format and, despite having idealised it at first, I don’t think it’s anything special, so I won’t buy it again. That said, I’ll enjoy it as long as it lasts.

  Smells like a pencil mine with a dry vanilla touch, very woody and rounded. It has spices, like cloves and ground pepper in a mortar. Overall, it gives a sense of incense, cosy, with something nocturnal, silent and deep. Ideal for enjoying a wine in good company, in a tranquil setting.
