Descripción

Emporio Armani Because It's You by Giorgio Armani is a fruity floral fragrance for women. Launched in 2017, this composition was created by perfumer Anne Flipo. In its opening, the fragrance unfolds a vibrant top note of raspberry, lemon and neroli; the heart reveals the delicacy of rose; and the base settles on a warm, enveloping blend of vanilla, musk and amberwood.

  • A marvel, perfect for autumn: sweet, fruity and vanilla. The blend of fruit, vanilla and that citrus touch lifts your spirits and banishes the season’s melancholy. It’s super versatile and I was pleasantly surprised by its longevity.

  • I love that it carries amberwood and highlights the raspberry, similar to the classic Coach, with a hit of vanilla that fills it with sweetness. Perhaps there are several with these trendy notes, but this is the one that suits me: it’s sticky, adapts to my pH like Scandal by Night and lasts a long time.

  • geomeun.apyeon

At first it is strong with a slightly medicinal aroma due to the raspberry and patchouli. I also sensed something like champagne or liquor that fascinates me; it recalls Armani Si. Then it settles into a softer trail, like Kenzo World but less sweet and potent. In the end, it stays on the skin, it’s coquettish and perfect for a 30-year-old on special occasions. It doesn’t disappoint, stands out among others, but the trail is low. Ideal for sleeping in as it doesn’t bother anyone.

  • geomeun.apyeon

A delight. I tried it today, it smells of bread, like Armani, with floral touches similar to Shock Black Opium, cosy and almost wintry, yet fresh. It doesn’t resemble In Love With You or Si Passione. It’s a marvel.

  • I love the raspberry-vanilla and how the amberwood embraces everything. Very delicious and exquisite. Although not formal, it has elegance. Sweet and warm, absolutely delicious. It’s a hit for me, even though I’m not a fan of sweet scents.

  • Upon opening, I thought of Versace Eros EDT; they are very similar. It starts citrusy (lemon and neroli) and then the raspberry, nothing artificial like the celebrity version. It’s 100% fruity, with vanilla that sweetens it without being cloying and woody notes. Feminine, cheerful and classy. Lasts about 6 hours.

  • A great perfume with excellent longevity and sillage. I don’t know anyone who doesn’t say ‘how delicious’. It’s perfect for winter or for evening wear.

  • Mangoframbuesa

At first, the mango was so intense that I discarded it, as it seemed very simple. But once it dried on the skin, it became exquisite and elegant, not excessively sweet. It’s beautiful and is now one of my favourites. It taught me not to throw anything away immediately.

  • Valevalevale

To me, it smells of mango and I love it. It’s sweet but without that cheap touch. It has a good trail and many people like it when I wear it.

  • It’s excellent, but it sounds very youthful and linear; I’m looking for something more complex. Like with all of Armani, it lasts a couple of hours on the skin and isn’t unique. The raspberry-vanilla blend is very common, although it smells better than the celebrity ones. Ideal for someone under 30.

  • Another fragrance with a rose scent and everything else very, very in the background. I love men’s perfumes with a rose scent because they smell of dried roses and lean more towards Middle Eastern aromas. In contrast, women’s perfumes smell of green, juicy rose that drowns out any other component. On my nose, it only smells like those sachets of dried rose petals for display counters. I don’t like it at all. Sorry, but that’s my opinion.

  • I’m not sure if I’m crazy, but I don’t detect any raspberry at all. To me, it smells like a very refined pineapple with vanilla, roses, and a touch of talc. It’s a very rich perfume, with good longevity and a well-achieved sillage. It’s a balanced and elegant scent.

  • Mariel272201

They might say I’m crazy or have a bad sense of smell, but I’ve been wearing this fragrance since early today and, after several hours, it smells like My Burberry Blush to me 🥴. I don’t know why I feel it smells like that if it’s not among the fragrances I remember. I love the scent of Because It’s You, but to my nose it smells like My Burberry Blush, and it’s like having the same perfume twice 🥲.

  • Male.gria

The opening is potent; I agree it smells of sweet mango, but I perceive it with green leaves and lemon, sharp. Then it changes slightly and I notice the raspberry, not a sugary girl version, but almost mentholated and spiced. In that regard, it reminds me of Angel Nova by Mugler. When it settles, the rose and vanilla appear, becoming more enveloping and creamy. That stage is my favourite. There’s a woody touch that adds a lot of elegance and accompanies it from the start until the dry down; I give it an extra point for that. It’s ideal for everyday wear, especially summer because it’s not a heavy sweet. I was surprised by the longevity: I applied it at 8 pm and this afternoon I can still smell that vanilla right up against my skin. Almost 12 hours.

  • It’s a fragrance I like, but I feel it’s familiar to two perfumes I also own. Upon first application, it resembles Coach Floral, and as it dries down (at least on my skin), it smells very similar to La Vie est Belle in Rose.

  • My husband loves it. Every time I wear it, he tells me what a lovely scent it is, haha. I like it too; it’s noticeable but not tiring. It reminds me of fragrances from another era, like from 2010, but updated. I’m not sure what it transports me to. Although patchouli isn’t listed among the notes, it seems to have a hint of it in the base (I think that’s what doesn’t quite convince me). However, it’s a very good fragrance and not as ‘burnt’ as others. At least here in Argentina.

  • This perfume is giving me a hard time 😖. I came across it by chance in a perfumery; the sales assistant showed it on blotter paper and I fell in love at first sight, I couldn’t believe what it smelled like, finding it wonderful. I sensed a fresh, elegant mango with very soft, sweet notes. It was love at first sight and I bought it without a second thought. The next day, with just three sprays on my neck, it seemed strong at first, but over time I couldn’t handle the nausea and headache, one of the worst! 😞 It has incredible longevity and a brutal sillage, but after five hours I had to remove it with wet wipes (it didn’t work, I had to take a shower xD). It made me feel very ill; it’s too strong, smelling of raspberry syrup and intense patchouli like La Vie est Belle, which I can’t stand. I tried it again in cold weather and it was the same. I sold it. Nevertheless, it taught me a valuable lesson: NEVER buy based solely on the love for the scent on paper; always test on skin and give it time to see if it’s the right one.

  • I like the scent, but unfortunately, it lasts only half an hour on my skin; this is the first time this has happened to me 🙁 and the sillage is very poor. I feel it has been my worst purchase.

  • My father brought a perfume from abroad that doesn’t make it here. When I received it, I was absolutely shocked! It wasn’t what I ordered. As I’m not a fan of vanilla scents and had already had a bad experience with In Love with You Freeze, I approached it with caution, and oh, what a delight. It’s a gem: sparkling lemon and raspberry that evolve into rose and a subtle vanilla. The three stages are very distinct, the longevity is incredible, and my boyfriend can still smell it faintly on me the next day. It’s elegant yet playful, perfect for the shoulder seasons. Highly recommended.

  • The fruity-chili note is too overpowering for me; I was expecting something more vanilla-based. The longevity is decent and improves as it dries down, but simply isn’t for me as my tastes differ. By the way, the men’s version, Stronger with You Intense, smells fantastic: it’s 100% unisex with an exquisite blend of gourmand vanilla and amber.

  • I tested it on skin and to my nose, it smells very similar to Natura’s Luna Absoluta. I don’t dislike it, but having the Natura perfume, I don’t see this Armani one as necessary.

  • Lucianapoli73

The opening is raspberry but boozy; it feels like a liqueur and then the smell of raisins with chocolate appears; it’s extremely gourmand and unique. I like it very much.

  • FRUITY ROSES. Very lovely, ideal for a quiet day. At times it reminds me of Givenchy Irresistible, but much more subtle and elegant; I suppose because of the fruity rose note, here it’s raspberry instead of pear. In comparison, this fragrance is much more delicate without losing its sweetness; it’s not a loud fruity scent, I love the balance. The dry-down reminds me of Miss Dior. The trail isn’t extremely powerful, but I think that’s just right; it’s delicate and lowkey. It doesn’t want to be a bomb that draws attention with a five-metre trail; sometimes it’s lovely to have subtler fragrances in the collection, and this is one of them. Something that does stand out is that it doesn’t last too long; I’ve worn it for 6 hours and it’s barely perceptible. Nevertheless, I think it’s a great fragrance for everyday wear or for a Sunday afternoon stroll.

  • To me, it smells like passion fruit despite raspberry being the main note; it’s very fruity and delicious. It receives many compliments.

  • Beautiful, but in its dry-down, the Amberwood is very noticeable. Try it on skin. Don’t buy it on impulse.

  • Pungent citrus opening; you can detect the lemon, raspberry and a hint of rose immediately. Then on the skin, vanilla and amber emerge. I love its dry-down; it lasts about 8 hours and even after a shower, the scent remains. I love it, but there’s something that prevents it from being perfect: sometimes it smells like car air freshener and gives me a headache, depending on how sensitive your sense of smell is. It lasts a long time; 3 or 4 sprays on the body are enough for the whole day.

  • Definitely I love it; it’s super feminine, sweet, fruity, sparkling and charming. It leaves a wide trail and ensures you don’t go unnoticed. Whenever I wear it, everyone asks what I’m wearing and compliments it. It’s lovely, sweet, feminine and sophisticated. The raspberry and rose are very noticeable. The scent lingers on my clothes for days and even weeks. I love spraying it on scarves; after a few days, the worn-in scent is still incredible.

  • Ideal for the winter-to-spring transition. Perfect when it’s chilly but you no longer want balsamic aromas, but rather something fruity, sunny and cheerful. It lifts my mood. Notes of raspberry, rose and amber. I don’t see it as being that similar to Mon Paris, aside from the initial fruity opening. This is rounder and less astringent; Mon Paris is fresher and more volatile. It’s a real all-rounder for almost everything (perhaps not for very elegant weddings or parties…). Lasts a medium 5 to 6 hours.

  • I fell in love at first sniff; it’s not one of those ‘world scents’ and I adore that. Smelling it reminded me of Armani Si, it has that same vibe. I wore it in the cold and in the heat, and I simply adore it in both.

  • Mayitaperfums

What can I say about this little perfume: it’s slightly citrusy with a raspberry and fresh lemon scent, ideal for the heat. It’s elegant and subtle, very tasty. At first, it feels a bit strong, but it settles beautifully on the skin and has good longevity.

  • soledadbt

The first time I tried Because It’s You by Armani, to be honest… it didn’t do much for me. It didn’t catch my attention. I’ve always been in love with its ‘sibling’, In Love With You, which remains a beauty. But over time, I started to find my way with it and recently decided to buy it. Since then, every time I wear it, people keep asking what I’m wearing. It projects massively without being intrusive. The opening is potent with an instant raspberry that accompanies the entire evolution. It’s sweet and juicy, but not cloying. Then it melts into a creamy vanilla that adds warmth and a musk that isn’t soapy, but sweet, enveloping and soft, like a hug. What impresses me most is the projection and longevity. I put it on at 8:30, and now it’s 21:30, and I still detect it strongly on my skin and freshly applied on clothes. It projected for five or six hours and lasted all day. In summary: if it doesn’t suit you at first, give it a second chance. I loved it and now I recommend it highly.

  • Sarah Poggio

I bought it for its launch; you can detect the raspberry, but once it dries, it smells 95% like Your The One by Bath & Body Works. It tastes good, but it totally disappointed me regarding longevity: on my skin, it doesn’t last more than three hours and projects less than one. I wouldn’t buy it again; it’s not worth the price; better to buy the Body Mist from B&BW, which costs ten times less, smells the same and lasts longer.

  • I didn’t like it much, besides, it smells like another perfume I can’t recall the name of. It’s just another one; I don’t see anything special about it to stand out from others. When I used the decant for the second time, I realised what it was: La Vie Est Belle en Rose. They are practically identical on my skin. Blimey, the other one overwhelmed me greatly, so clearly this isn’t for me. Although I admit that after a few hours, when it fades, it leaves a prettier fruity trail.

  • yanibelli

I didn’t like it. On my skin, it’s too strong and smells like an older lady’s perfume. It even gave me a headache. I don’t find it as sweet as others, perhaps only at the start.

  • I love it. I detect juicy raspberry at first, then it shifts to a fun vanilla. It’s soft; I imagine wearing it on the beach with the wind in my face (better if someone else wears it so I can be downwind, hehe). Very feminine.

  • Very tasty; you can detect neroli and raspberry, sweet and elegant. However, it’s not innovative and smells like a generic scent of the era. I wouldn’t buy it; better to try before spending, as there are many similar options. In the end, after hours, it fades and becomes prettier.
