Tell us how it opens, how it settles on your skin, how long it lasts and when you wear it.

  1. Curiosity. In an interview with the Santo’s son, he recounts that his father used this fragrance. Minute 25:43 on the Latin Lover Official YouTube channel. The Santo’s son breaks the silence (I can’t paste the link)🤔

  2. I believe this English Leather is a fantastic perfume. Ideal for autumn or winter afternoons. I have a 50 ml bottle that someone I esteem and respect gifted me a long time ago. I think it suits people over 40 well, although I’m under 30 and use it occasionally with perfect results. I suggest adding it to your collection regardless of your age, because this perfume is FOR A REAL MAN, NOT FOR BABIES. If you want to smell like a man with personality, use it on certain occasions. In terms of a general rating, I’d give it 7.5/10.

This fragrance was a great surprise to me, as it lasts a long time for a cologne. It is one of the vintage scents I have liked the most; I don’t find it complicated. I bought it because it was my grandfather’s perfume; my mother told me it smells just like when he used it. I don’t know how true her words are, but I am pleased to have acquired it. The only downside is that the version I bought does not have a spray nozzle, so one must be careful when applying it to avoid spilling anything. It cost me 600 Mexican pesos for 234ml, if I remember correctly; it didn’t seem too expensive to me.

It was a great surprise as it lasts incredibly long for a cologne. It’s a vintage scent that I’ve loved; it doesn’t feel overly complicated. I bought it because it was my grandfather’s perfume; my mother said it smells just like he used to wear it—I’m not sure if that’s true, but I’m delighted I purchased it. The only downside is that the bottle I got doesn’t come with a spray nozzle, so you need to be careful when applying it to avoid spilling. I paid 600 Mexican pesos for 234 ml, if my memory serves me right, and it didn’t seem too expensive.

I have the after-shave in vintage formulation (the liquid is about 30 or 40 years old). My grandfather gifted it to me. The aroma can be summarised as: a fresh and fleeting top note, and in the base, leather (the main note), wood, and musk, all reinforcing the leather which is the protagonist. The leather has petrol-like tones (like Knize Ten?), something spicy, and the musk gives it an animal and leathery tone. I have not used this vintage formulation much, and it would be good to test its longevity; normally it lasts only a few minutes with strong projection at the start but fades quickly as an after-shave. As people say, the current cologne smells synthetic and has poor performance, which is a pity. The vintage, with natural ingredients, is simply beautiful… It has immense class. If you find a vintage bottle, I highly recommend it. Best regards.

It was the scent of my grandfather, my uncles, and my father, a perfume that marked my childhood olfactorily. It was, it was, and it was very much so, because it is no longer even the pale shadow of what it once was gloriously. Today it is a perfume without magic, without splendour, let alone longevity and trail. It is something I would not use, and indeed, all its notes are very much to my liking.

This perfume is, as its name says, leather. I bought it for childhood scent, but when I started using it, it didn’t agree with me. It is a vintage fragrance, somewhat complicated for me personally; I didn’t like it, but between tastes and colours…

This perfume is leather, as its name suggests. I bought it on a whim due to a scent from my childhood. I started using it, but personally, it doesn’t suit me. It’s a vintage fragrance, somewhat complicated for my taste; I didn’t like it, but as they say, one man’s meat is another man’s poison…

Literally smells like very synthetic leather. It does not last even two hours.

  11. Horrible aroma (it only smells of lavender and nothing else), too synthetic, boring, just another one of the bunch. It does not last almost anything; the alcohol is intensely felt.

This perfume smells very rich, exquisite. I have one; it smells richer on a fresh night, for example, for a party or formal gathering. I feel it more for somewhat cool climates… a rich aroma.

Smells absolutely delicious and exquisite. I find it even more enchanting on cool nights, perfect for parties or formal gatherings. It really shines in slightly chilly weather. A truly rich fragrance.
