  I didn’t expect much after reading the reviews and was pleasantly surprised. I don’t know why everyone makes such a fuss, but it’s a proper fragrance: you have to smell it and you’ll like it. It opens with alcohol and sparkling pink pepper, acidic lime and musk. A citrus-spicy aroma. In the dry down, cedar, musk and amber: clean, woody, woodsy and warm. I don’t detect iris or know what the Iso E Super smells like. The trail is strong at first, then sits close to the skin with constant bursts. It lasts about seven hours and keeps going. Nothing overwhelming. It’s based on the base notes, which are what you truly enjoy, although the lime doesn’t fade. I’d wear it in cooler weather for that warm, woody side, like spicy woods burning away. It confuses me: at times it smells like a soft baby cologne, at others like fresh balsamic cedar, and at others like dry, spicy wood. In my opinion, it’s for personal enjoyment, leaning masculine due to those dry notes. I wouldn’t buy it for myself, but it would look great on a man. If you try it, it doesn’t bite.

  The declared notes are there, but there is more. The iris sounds soft with green touches. Iso E Super, that chemical that mimics pheromones and boosts the fragrance, gives an alcoholic sensation and ties everything together very well. The pink pepper does not sting, the lemon evolves as a complement, and there is a base of leather and woods. Very linear but charming. The trail is perfect and it lasts 24 hours. Distinct from the traditional ones, it is special.

  When I returned my ManRose by Etro (the tester would have been perfect, not so much the bottle), I swapped it for this Escentric 01 that was hidden in the special stand at the department store. The assistant invited me in, I tried it, and it was love at first sniff. Although a friend kept the Insumis by Lalique, this was a total success: I receive compliments and people talk to me without knowing me. It is exquisite, distinguished, addictive and very masculine. They offered me the last bottle with dark liquid; the rest are now clear (perhaps a reformulation). The Russians wear it a lot. 10 out of 10 for me.

  @MANOLETE Hello mate. They say it resembles Wild by Dsquared 2 and Encre Noire, but to my nose, any resemblance is coincidence, perhaps a similar green note. The memory lasts a minute. I have a bottle with dark liquid and another transparent, but I don’t know why. They don’t resemble each other: Wild is a lighty compared to Excentric 01, which is a perfume in capital letters. Wild is light and restrained, whereas this is intense. It has a loose green note, but the development has nothing to do with it. Try it if you get the chance, it’s very good. Best regards.

  I’m delighted with this 01 eccentricity. It’s as if all its notes dance in the air revealing everything about you. Beautiful molecular dances where your pheromones shine. Cheerful at times, sensual at others, with incense and spices, a unique and personal world. I’ve never had a more sociable perfume; no note tramples over another, it’s pure joy of life bottled. I love the Iso E Super that gives it a vibrant and seductive life. Highly recommended for connecting with others. Trail and longevity are more than enough. It’s wonderful at night, but also during the day.

  I own many perfumes and looked for similar ones to replace it, but I always return to it. I’ve been using it for ages; I bought the first bottle in 2012. I don’t know what seduced me more: the perfume itself or the fact that it wasn’t mainstream, almost unknown and exclusive.

  I received this little jewel today! It’s delicious. Initially a musky citrus, not very aromatic, but the trail is there, appearing every so often. It’s a scent you’d want to smell always… but it fades, don’t get your hopes up… and it returns. That’s how it is: it arrives, it goes, it arrives, it goes. Fabulous.

  I was curious and picked up a decant. It’s not special; I consider it average. Well below the charm of its sister Molecule 01, to which it only resembles in the dry-down. Without a doubt, Molecule 01 fascinates me, although it sometimes plays hide-and-seek.

  Escentric 01 by Escentric Molecules. Since I tried it, I’ve loved it. It’s a head-to-toe masculine proposal: clean, addictive, and delightfully refined. It reflects good taste and originality, with an extraordinary composition. With it, you’ll always look sharp and leave a noticeable trail; even if you think it lacks projection, that’s an illusion, because it’s noticeable and lingers even after you’ve gone. A real treat, a masterpiece that steps away from the ordinary without being loud. It’s outstanding, one of the finest masculine scents full of charm, magic, vigour and zest. It smells of sawmill woods, like sharpening a pencil, blended with musk and iris, without forgetting the Iso E Super which adds a sweet note, perhaps due to the amber, leaving a sophisticated and pleasurable signature. Its performance is notable, perceptible to those nearby. It has become one of my favourites: clean, masculine, refined and sexy. Scent: 11. Projection: 2 hours, very well. Longevity: 6 to 8 hours. Recommended.

It reflects good taste and originality; although it seems to project little, it’s an illusion – it’s noticeable and lingers even after you’ve gone. A masterpiece that avoids the common without being strident. Notes of sawdust wood, musk, iris and Iso E Super with a touch of sweet amber. Notable performance on my skin: good projection and 6 to 8 hours longevity. Clean, masculine, refined and sexy. Recommended.
