Share what you noticed: opening, drydown, sillage and the moments when it works for you.
The scent of Espionage is unusual; I detect an intense note of what seems to be sage that cuts through the sweetness of the amber. It has poor projection despite applying a lot to my arm; today it’s hot and humid, so I’d expect it to smell stronger. On blotter, I only sense the sweetness of the amber. As for longevity, I’ll let you know later.
I’ve just received it and am smelling it right now. The first impression is a very noticeable initial brandy note, then it shifts and becomes very soft with that predominant amber making it sweet and highly pleasant. I can’t find any similarity to other fragrances; I see Oriflame is betting on different scents, far from imitations, although it reminded me in its initial phase of A*men Pure Malt, though much softer; it lacks punch but it’s not bad at all.
I’ve only smelled a sample on blotter and I’ve already ordered it. When I receive it I’ll share my impressions, but I’m ahead of schedule to say that the amber and its liquid note have already captivated me.
