I’ve always sought a perfume that screams rose without hesitation, so after trying many in an afternoon, I settled on Ferre Rose. However, I soon tucked it away in the back of the drawer because, despite its rose notes, something feels off: it’s a synthetic scent that doesn’t quite convince, and its lack of longevity and projection only make matters worse. It resembles those bathroom colognes that refresh for a second before evaporating instantly. The sweetness is so subtle it vanishes quickly. I won’t throw it away, as I don’t believe there’s such thing as a bad perfume; surely there’s someone for whom it’s perfect, so I’d recommend it as a first fragrance for a teenager whose body isn’t yet ready for more mature scents. If I had to define it, it’s a fragrance that’s nothing intrusive and very angelic.
