  1. R.de Lioncourt

Judging by the notes, it sounds like I’ve smelled this before, but the reality is quite different. At first, it doesn’t smell as sweet as it later becomes. It’s not that typical cloying sweetness; it’s wet earth, neroli, perhaps apple and honey. It offers freshness from that damp soil and a green, almost balsamic touch behind the honey. It’s worth trying; it’s very well constructed in layers. For those seeking something different, it’s versatile: not a forbidden sweet for the heat, it has a fresh green nuance ideal for a hot night. The potency matches its niche price point. There are few with such a fair balance; it lasts well, projects for 2-3 hours, is sweet but not excessive, fresh without being cold, unisex and mysterious. And it finishes with a beautiful bottle to collect.

  2. This review is for a complimentary decant with an order. I can’t comment on longevity or sillage as I haven’t tested it on skin. For me, these fragrances are sensory experiences, not perfumes to wear. It smells of earth, green, and vitality, highlighting absinthe at the start; it’s like a primeval forest. Towards the base, honey and patchouli come through. It’s totally unisex, but I can’t find an occasion to wear it. It serves if you want to stand out with something totally distinct, but don’t expect everyone to notice when they smell it. €115 for 30ml. Don’t buy blind. At this price, it’s mandatory to order a sample first.
